Mean Bone was an awesome song from his Slash's snakepit outfit. From his later albums, loved nothing to say with m.shadows and his songs with myles kennedy are awesome as well.

Awww.. one more down or rather up to his place. And this time around the Bat probably has gone back to Hell. RIP

The tracks Window of Doom and Die, Decay, Disintegrate are great from this compilation.

A local Kannadiga lad and my school mate.

Not trying to promote, as I am sharing this after a good 6 months from the release.

I did not find any mention of this absolutely beautiful band from Japan.

Band-Maid are only the 3rd band I've listened to once and thought "Well time to spend the next 6 hours combing through their entire discography" (the other 2 being Gojira and Tool, the bar was high and they smashed it and then some). The entire band is jam packed with talent, Akane Hirose is a beast on the drums. This band is my personal favorite rock band active today and definitely in the top 3 of all time.

Japan has some serious Rock and Metal talent.

Band-Maid

The drummer is what sold me on their songs! What a beast.

Trident is another one of those bands that makes me sit down and think, how a country so tiny can produce such great music.

I'm not a fan of pop music but I will always listen to J-Pop, Japanese Music just hits different.

Here are some other bands/artists to check out.

Yousei Teikoku

Kuusou Mesorogiwi by Yousei Teikoku

Survive Said the Prophet

Mukanjyo by Survive Said the Prophet

Eve (Solo Artist)

Kaikia Kiran by Eve

Chanced upon this band when i was searching about Mongolia and what one can get to see there on tourism. Very interesting band and their use of local instruments simply amazing.

Folk Metal is a genre is a genre that never fails to amaze me, be it The HU from Mongolia, Bloodywood from Delhi or this band from New Zealand called Alien Weaponry that use Maori vocals or the Polish band Merkfolk that use an Accordion and a violin of all things with Polish vocals.

Check out Heilung too, from Denmark. Their instruments are pretty unique - bones.

They are composing for upcoming Hellblade 2 video game, the sequel to BAFTA winner Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

These guys really came out of the blue with all guns blazing. Amazing stuff. Check out their collab versions of Wolf totem and Yuve Yuve Yu and their covers of Metallica's Sad but true and Through the never! Amazing stuff.

Check out Skald doing Riders on the storm:

I wonder when Bloodywood will do an Indian tour, even if it's a small tour with just 5-6 shows, they have American and European tour dates booked till Late march 2023 so it's not happening soon that's for sure. They're the first Indian band to go truly international, even sold out most of their show on their first ever tour in 2019 (even maxed out their venue at Wacken Open Air 2019 with 15,000 attendees), it's a shame how low the appetite for metal/hard rock is in India despite the fact that 1.4 billion people (about 18.2%of the world's population) live here .

I plan to go to attend Gojira show on the 28th of February 2023 so if I want to see Bloodywood Live I might have to extend my stay in Europe for a couple more days as they start their 2023 Europe tour in Warsaw, Poland on the 2nd of March 2023. There is nothing in the world I wouldn't give for a Gojira or Opeth show in India.
