Megadeth are releasing their new album called "Endgame" tomorrow. The metal press (especially in Europe) have given it great reviews.

I hope Mustaine would include India when they tour to promote their album!!

Does Tristania have a female vocalist?

@Wolfheart,
Tristania isn't exclusively female vocals, but they do have fair amount of female vocals.

@ladak.imran,
thanks, I'll try those two sometime soon, I go over bands/albums in slots via my MP3 player, so next change of contents I'll move these in.

@nobetterId
yep, trollhammaren is good, as also Midnattens Widunde, Rivfader, Jaktens Tid , Under Varje Rot Och Sten , Ursvamp . Not hear anything by Kamelot yet .

@ricci, I've heard a couple of Tristania albums a while ago including Beyond the Veil. Never heard any female vocals except for the backing vocals. I understand that Morten Velland has left and there have been line up changes since then.

Does anyone here like Amon Amarth? They're one of the best Viking Metal bands around.

I have heard a few Amon Amarth songs and found it a good combination of heaviness and melody.

You must listen to their new album "with Oden on our side" it's seriously scathing and brutal yet melodic death metal. Johann Hegg's is a master deathgrowler even though the lyrics are growled you can clearly understand every single word!

I've seen them perform live twice, they also have really really good live act !

You're right Abhay it's Twilight of the Thunder Gods. With Oden was the previous one. also check out "Once sent from the Golden hall" and "The Crusher"(has been re-mastered and re-released recently) two really great albums.

I caught them live in the US twice and also met Johann after the show. We discusssed the metal scene in India and Johann mentioned "One of our earlier drummers was half Indian". I still havent figured out whom he was referring to...........I guess it must have been the jagermeister talking

If you like Viking metal then I would highly recommend Einherjer and Moonsorrow as well. Both are excellent bands!

Hmmm ... Do you hear Lacuna Coil? Nightwish is pretty good too. More symphonic. Liked typeO's cover in the NIB 1 album.
