Re: The Furniture Thread (Home/Office)

Experts,

Looking for a TV unit (not wall unit). My TV is actually wall mounted, needed an enclosed unit (not those with open spaces, a pain to clean) for keeping the STB, Home theatre unit etc. Any suggestions? Are these available Online too, any good reliable sites?

Hi ppl,

Was checking around about FabFurnish - they are having some great discounts on furniture items; but I didn't find much feedback about them here.

Would like to see some experiences about product quality per se as well as delivery and services later if required !!!

I have shopped from them which included a bar counter, console table and a bed side table. Flawless service and was a brilliant experience buying from them.

I went ahead with Damro since I was not sure about the service of Fabfurnish.

Got the Sofa delivered in CKD condition after 7 days of placing the order. The packaging was superb. The assembly was completed yesterday by their carpenter. No charges. Though I did tip him for his brilliant work.

Verdict: Very Very Good. And specially for the price offered it looks Fab. Go ahead with your purchase. Remember this was not a 5k purchase but a 33k purchase and if they can deliver something that well, I will view them as favorably.

Here you go.

Here is the link to the Sofa Set:
http://www.fabfurnish.com/Oasis-Siro...ofa-11203.html

And the pictures (very low res. from a cell phone cam) of the actual product.

It is a 100% match to the one I saw the FF Showroom.

The whole package is delivered in a Complete Knock Down (CKD) format, where you need a carpenter to assemble the whole thing. Although I found out that if you have a few tools you can do it yourself.

Usually every furniture guy will charge you to do this but FF has service men contracted and for slightly bigger purchases there are no assembly charges.

Re: The Furniture Thread (Home/Office)

Ordered the coffee table from FabFurnish (http://www.fabfurnish.com/Fab-Home-G...9.html#view360) last week (14/07) and got it delivered on Saturday (19/07).
In fact, the courier guy was here on Friday itself, but we were not available at home.

Nevertheless, sat down and assembled in the evening and final version looks great. Had a bit of tough time trying to fit it together, as we broke one of the wooden hinges while inserting between the holes, and had tough time trying to find alternatives. They should probably provide at least one connector/screw/etc. extra in a count of, say, 8-10, will make life simpler.

This apart, the overall packaging, ease of assembly, final product quality/look were as per the expectation after viewing details on site.

You should consider this. Its a lazyboy so it may be a bit expensive but I think its worth it. Totally!

I am planning to buy a bed online. The option is between rubberwood and sheesham. Which one is better in terms of durability etc?

I picked this up from snapdeal for 15k. I think it's rubberwood, but not too sure. Definitely not sheesham. Mated to a 10" spring mattress, it's serving me well so far, but it's only been a month.

I also went and got a 5 seat sofa set,and recliner made, and a pretty nifty bean bag from pepperfry( I think).
Very well made, and look really good with the tone of the wood in the house.
