Tariffs on trades of that magnitude would create a supply shortage (what they call as a supply shock sometimes) in the manufacturing cycle. It takes a while for other countries to fill in. Businesses may just take a pause, cut down or close based on their options available. We have to wait and watch.

Germany enters recession and outlook is not promising for the Eurozone.

The recession was less severe than some early predictions made at the start of the conflict, but mild winter weather and the easing of supply chain problems following the Covid pandemic were "not enough to get the economy out of the recessionary danger zone", Carsten Brzeski, head of macro at the ING bank, told AFP.
