Which MUV to rent?

Planning to book a vehicle for a day trip to Shivasamudra, about 350 km (up and down) from Bangalore.

We have these options:
  1. Qualis: Rs. 8.5 / km
  2. Tavera: Rs. 10 / km
  3. Scorpio: Rs. 11 / km
No. of passengers: 5 adults and 3 kids (8 yrs, 3 yrs, 1 yr)

Any advice on which among these is the most convenient?

Other vehicle options we have are: Innova and Eco. Someone told me that Eco is not comfortable. Regarding Innova, I think it won't be spacious enough for all of us.

Re: Which of these vehicles is convenient for a short trip?

Eeco, and qualis, claustrophobia inducing last bench.

Innova with a full bench middle row would seat as many as the tavera would, and would be way way more comfortable.

Scorpio, for a long haul, with so many people, others would need to advise.

but i have always preferred innova's everytime ive rented a vehicle.
Its the MOST comfortable for a long haul.

Innova is definitely more comfortable than Tavera and Qualis. I can vouch for that. The second row of seats in the Innova is definitely a pleasure to use. Not too sure about the Scorpio since I have never hired one for trips.

If the choice is between the first three vehicles you have mentioned, I would say the Tavera would be best suited. I'm sure the Innova will cost more per kilometre.

Would reccommed the Innova as the first choice.

Cheers!

I'm guessing that the kids will have to occupy the last row of seats. If so, and if any of them are prone to motion sickness, then don't even think of the Scorpio; the bounce and roll is just too pronounced in the last row. In that respect, Tavera and Innova are quite good. Have never travelled in a Qualis, so can't comment.

Cheers,
Vikram

Why not the Sumo? I feel the sitting position for the Sumo is better than the Qualis and the rest. Are you looking for AC?

Re: Which MUV to rent?

Thanks for all the replies.

We ended up renting Xylo @ Rs. 10 per km.

Re: Which MUV to rent?

Best MUV for more than 5 people will be a tavera hands down.
Innova can take four adults comfortably, no one more.

Please share your experience with the Xylo and how comfortable the ride was.

Re: Which MUV to rent?

Good choice.
Xylo is much better that Tavera at the same cost.

And, how was the ride?
