wanted a second hand car,by march15th budget 3lkhs

hi all my cousin is coming from US on march 7th and he wants to buy a second hand car in hyderabad.budget would be a maximum of 3 and half lakhs.
as he has no knowledge i suggested him a palio d or else palio pertol,even other brands are welcome.but mint condition palio would be good. aadix is satish car still there and does he want to sell (endevor)
his family is of totally three members -wife ,mother and himself.

i'd suggest a esteem, baleno or the ohc (call me biased, but 'm in love with my car), decent luggage carrying capacity, reasonably fun to drive, and considering your cousin wouldn't know much around here it would be great to have a hassle free vehicle as that means fewer visits to the local mech, hence fewer chances of getting conned.

i've suggested the above as i'm not much of a hatch person except for the zen.

Lots of balenos,lancers and OHC's are available for under 3 lakhs. But you are probably looking at atleast 5 year old models.

A ford ikon, fiat petra/palio and tata indigo can be had in that budget in an excellent condition. lets say a mileage of less than 20k and about 1-2 years old.

In chennai, a 2002 Lancer can be got for 3.5 lakhs.

No offence but matiz is kind of an outdated car. also i am not sure if the parts are still available.. i would suggest the lancer / baleno / esteem or the OHC..

I know but dear I still haven't faced any probs with any spares ! I even get the original for lamps here in Mohali. Runs very kewl and is fully loaded !

what model matiz is it??also fully loaded you mean as it comes from the company the top end version of you have added any additional accessories to it??.. and still i think 2.5L for a second hand matiz is too much to expect..

Its 2001 - Yes that's correct - Stock Accessories like roof rails, heater, A/C, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Brakes, Remote Fuel Lid, Remote Trunk etc...I am open to Negotiations !

I think Palio / Siena is a good buy for 3.5. My Siena is still available and in a better condition than when you saw it last time. Call me if you want to check it.

Would he also want to sell the car within a couple of years ?
If so, try looking for a car that sells well in the Hyderabad used car market. Not only from the point of view of resale value but also from demand perspective. It might be difficult to find even buyers for some cars, let alone a low resale price.

I mean in mumbai a 2001 daewoo matiz sg sells for 105k. One can buy 2 of them and save another 40k for a great ICE stup.

No offence to enyone but A matiz today is not worth more than 1.00lac. Add 20k more for the best maintained ones.

While for a petra again 3.5 is too much unless its a 2004 or later model.

best bet is to stick to a Baleno,OHC,lancer between 2000-2003

thought you were open to negotiations. and send your bro, and eveyone you know to mumbai, i think we can get each and every one a matiz 2001 model around a lakh provided thereare enough cars.

what you're expecting is almost the price of a 2000-2001 baleno, zen and santro which have much better resale value and are much better cars as well can be had for not more than 1.75 lakhs for a fully loaded model, and that too being maybe on the highe side.
