Suppose u have a budget of 40 lacs - what would you choose of the 2 options given in the poll ?

if you don't need the extra rooms, then Bandra but ofcourse. If you need the extra rooms, well, you know that answer. not much to think about.

Powai is a commuters nightmare, and although the actual building/flat may be nice, its a mess outside.

Hi,

It all depends on your requirement, work place etc. Always better to have more rooms for a growing family. Its not everyday you buy a house. Need to look ahead and not for today. I would say Powai assuming budget is a constraint.

Bandra anyday!! Quality over quantity, remember? Bandra offers a fantastic lifestyle. Its pretty westernised, which may have a lot to do with the strong christian presence. You have the ocean, joggers park, clubs and the most interesting eateries.

Bandra.
Only cause I like the area and feel a bit nostalgic since I lived near Leelavati hospital for more than a year.

Otherwise who wouldn't like more space :-)

Bandra anyday! Hate areas like Powai, Mira Road, Chembur, etc.!!! Prefer places between Andheri (west) to Bandra (west). And parts of town. Not anywhere else.

for me it would be powai. bandra is a good place just to come and go. but it is two congested, secondly those who have stayed in the western suburbs it is ok for them but those who have stayed in central would surely prefer powai. secondly powai is as westernised as bandra, look at all the call centres, good crowd, nice places to hang out,

ultimately nobody can compare both the places, but coming to space needed in every household, one room extra is always a better option.

powai is also very much centralised, it is equidistant, if you have to go to any place in mumbai, navi mumbai etc.

i agree that the traffic is a mess, but with new service road from kailash commercial complex, you can easily use gther shortcut.

my two cents

i'd recommend looking at the Powaii flat!
it is a well connected area contrary to general assumptions and less congested than Bandra. also it is a rapidly developing area and you can count on real estate going up in the future...
Bandra was a decent place to live in the past but its over-hyped and very very congested.

I'm a hardcore townie. And since Bandra is closer to town, that's my choice. Getting to Powai is a nightmare. Once in Powai, stay in Powai. Getting out is inviting trouble.

Bandra will surely rock.. it depends on your budget as a fact.
but the crowd makes a difference..

I stay in Colaba but spend much ofmy time in bandra chilling with friends.. its the place to be during the day and ofcourse in the nights also..

there are good restuants and clubs in bandra.. good women, etc
Its your call buddy!
