Since you've been at it (brisk walking) for a year now, do you find it easier or in other words, do you need to walk faster/longer for the same fatigue levels as before?

Suggestion: try "Beachbody - Insanity". If you have a friend or colleague coming from the US, can pick it up for you. Even if you don't follow the recommended diet strictly, I guarantee that you'll feel fitter than ever if you do this workout as suggested 6 days a week. Do get a complete health checkup and doctor's opinion before you start, though!!

Re: Reclaiming my life - one day at a time

Weight Management

1. 5 Days : 30 Min on cycle
2. 1 Day: about two hours of badminton & cricket
3. 1 Day: landmine

Last sprint when I lost 5 kgs, I had gone on strict diet. I think its time for the second project to start and I am mentally ready and this time the target is to get to 87 Kgs from 92 Kgs.

Some activity on photogrpahy, however the focus now is on health & weight management & job (and ofcourse family). Rest as it happens...

Good week, Ajit! All the best for phase-2 of the project.

...
Good question. My weight loss has been marginal (~5%) during the last 10 odd months. So I doubt, to burn the same number of calories, I need to go faster/longer.
On a separate note, one recent interesting observation is: looks like maintaining your pulse at a fixed (high) rate is key to cardio. Nowadays, with 3 rounds of constant-speed brisk-walk, I sweat significantly more than earlier 3 rounds of jogging + normal walking.

Interesting that you suggested Insanity. In fact I have been toying with the idea for a couple of months now. Have got the DVDs and the complete program info.
Have definite intentions of taking the Insanity challenge. Let's see if the intention results into some concrete action soon

Here is my workout details:
Name: Untitled picture.png
Views: 866

Wednesday was taken over by job, so made up on Thursday.

Friday & Saturday was away from home so no cycling. Friday did leisure walking for 40 min, walking is not suitable for me considering the state of my knee, so skipped walking on Saturday and made up for it on Sunday.
