None of the above is causing the fade.

From my experience of the 2 LTDs that I have used, the fade is caused due to prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

For 2 years, 50,000kms, my LTD looked as if it was pasted just yesterday. I was out of country for 2 months and my car was left parked in the open and on my return I found it all faded.

This happened a couple of years back aswell, again with another LTD, but parking was the same and for similar duration.

Hope this helps us to understand the 'Fade'.

Thats my car. But it should be my dad driving. I wasn't even awake by then. I stay close by near the post office.

Thanks for the proxy. I didn't know you have already spotted my car a couple of times on the ORR. Either you have a sharp eye or my car really really stands out, or I drive real bad

Spotted this While Polo 1.6 on EEH at Mulund East Entry stuck in Bumper to bumper to traffic. Didnt wave or try to grab attention as I guess you had your parents sitting in the car.

Spotted a Hyundai Eon (KA 55 MA xxxx) with LTD on RHS bumper all the way on Palm beach road around 8:20pm, was even beside you at one of the signals on Palm beach road. Don't know if you spotted the got BHP ? sticker on my Punto.

Also spotted a Black Scorpio (old gen MH 43 X xxxx) parked beside Reliance fresh, Koperkhairane around 8:45pm. I honked twice.

I mostly commute by bus now a days, so my main job when stuck in the usual ORR jam is to look at all the cars all around- Especially stickered cars. That's how I noticed you, both the car and the sticker placement are not very common.

In addition, after your ownership report came up, had posted in your thread to confirm it was you. Since that was very recent, remembered it as soon as I saw this spotting post. Next time you see someone waving at you from a bus or from the passenger side of a car (I frequently car pool) on ORR, it is probably me . My drive and ride-Vento TSI and Pulsar 200NS are both stickered.
