Yet times you need to prefer purpose over looks. The ABS material that you suggested doesn't stand a chance in a rear crash. Trust me, I had couple of severe crashes from rear on my previous XUV500 which saved it from major repairs and dents. I don't like to have it too, but cant help and take chances.

On the first day of my drive from Kolkata to Hyderabad, and back after a week, spotted this Ford Aspire with 3TBHP stickers at Dhulagarh toll. Tailed it for about 30 minutes, then lost it. BHPian?
I tried to wave but maybe you did not notice it.
My Nexon had 3x TBHP Website stickers and 1 Driven by TBHP at the back.

My Duke 390 sporting a (quite appropriate) "Got BHP?" sticker from the TBHP Shop since 2016. Had to trim it to fit so I made it up with two more on the handguards.

Been asked about, waved at and fistbumped countless times by other fans who recognise it. Happened across a couple BHP-ians too!
