Great to see so many pet enthusiast here. I always wanted to have a pet. Finally these three wonderful god creations joined my family:

Fido (yellow) and Minchu (rainbow) are two hand raised parakeets. Both of them are around 5 weeks old. They have started eating on their own and slowly are learning the traits of flying.

Topaz is a Blue Male Betta fish. He too is quite a character and loves nibbling of pellets stuck to my fingers.

Congrats NC that is really awesome. This time the mother really becomes tender and caring and is very protective of her pups.

My gorgeous baby left me on 25th. Her name is Fido, she died by cardiac arrest in my arms.

Team-BHPians and their Pets-fido.jpg

Last week Wednesday she left me for ever at 11:15 AM. She was the most active and high alert dog. She was going through sudo pregnancy and developed to Pyometra which in other way affected her kidney and she finally expired by cardiac arrest. All this happened with in span of 2-3 days.

It was the first time I saw death in front of me and I am still in that shock missing my love.

Lovely new-family pictures, NC

Very sad, Vinayvtec. One of my cats died with her head on my hand. She'd been in 'intensive care' at the vets all day, but to no avail. It seemed she was just holding out until I got back. She looked at me. meeowed, put her head on my hand and was gone.

Condolences. It's tough. Takes time.

So sorry to hear that,Vinay. Losing a pet is like losing a child. Do you intend getting another dog? Most often,it helps getting another pet immediately, and the sorrow is taken over by the joy of having the new pet around.

Awesome with the Great Dane puppies. Condolences vinay. I can understand your grief.

My pet for now is a small snail. My daughter has named it Snaily Gary!! i picked it up in the Garden and my daughter wants to keep it. So there she lies on a small tray with some cabbage and tomato to keep her company. She's been actively nibbling away at it when we are away and sleeps the whole day. No trouble at all.

Very sorry to hear about Fido Vinay. May her sould rest in peace. I lost my Justy (Labrador) on 30th March 2008 so yesterday was his first death anniversary. Nothing is more sorrowful than the death of your loved pet. It kills and the feeling cannot be explained. I miss him immensely and still cant believe hes no more with us.

Hang in there my friend.
