Dippy, Mate, the saddest part about our pets is that they always age faster than their masters n mistresses. And we humans fail to recognize that. The house 'is empty, the heart's so full, an it'll never be the same again, but in time, the heart 'll heal an soon it'll be time.... Till then, Just be still. RIP Justy, we were blessed to have you around.

@Trance_nut: That's one cute, cute puppy! He's a 'megapixel'. Awesome pic.

@Shan2nu: That's a wild cat...and the pic with that background and lighting is looking like a very professional one.

Thanks man. He belongs to the "Pixie Bob" family of cats. They are larger/heavier than normal cats.

Here's some info on them - Pixie-Bob - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Theres a very interesting story as to how he ended up being our pet. It was June 2nd 2006, our German Shepherd seemed a bit restless and kept barking away. So i let him out into the garden at around 3:30 am. As soon as i opened the door i saw the local tom cat zipping past, and the dog immediately took after him.

The cat got cornered near the compound wall, tried to put up a fight, climbed the wall and ran away.

As i walked towards the wall, i could hear a tiny sqealing noise from that area. When i looked around, i noticed a small furry kitten lying on the grass (He had not even opened his eyes). The male cat was prob trying to kill it or something (which is a common thing in the cat family).

Picked it up and noticed it was bleeding. It had a puncture wound under its lower jaw and i could see the underside of his tongue from there. He also had a broken paw.

For the next 1 month or so, i kept him inside the house until he was big enough to roam around on his own. My dad who is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, treated the cats broken paw.

Today, he is the "Tom" cat around this area and the ex-tom cat that tried kill him is sh#t scared of this guy. He has no choice, since this guy is way bigger in size.

Reviews needed for Yashban Kennels!

Hi Guys.

I am again depending on this wonderful forum for reviews and experiences. But this time not for a car/bike. It is to buy a puppy. I am almost on the verge on buying a St Bernard puppy from Yashban Kennels (Bangalore). I visited their farm last week and was quite satisfied with the way the farm has been maintained.

I need ur advice, reviews, experiences about Yashban Kennels. Please help me guys.

Yashbans are pretty good. More so for St. Bernards and Golden Retrievers. My experience with them was pretty good. I had to leave my pup there for boarding for a few days while i was out of town and she was pretty happy to be there. They are expensive but are professional. Both Yashoda and her daughter (who run the place) are very passionate about dogs and it shows.

Regarding St. Bernards, ensure that you have loads of space for them to run around in.

How much do st Bernards run for?

I was looking into getting a couple of bull mastiffs, need some big strong guard dogs.
