It was pleasure attending the passing out parade of the NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY,(Pune), with presence of General Mr. V. K. Singh, Chief of Army Staff as chief guest, accompanied with N.D.A. Commandant Lt Col. Mr. Jatindar Singh, & Southern Command Chief Lt. Col . Mr. A. K. Singh.
A total of 361 cadets, including 21 foreign cadets, graduated from N.D.A.
I was stunned by the eye pleasing ceremony & the disciplinary act by all cadets.

I always wanted to get into Indian Army.Tried getting into NDA, but couldnt crack the entrance exam.

The NDA POP is amongst the largest, if the the largest POP of its kind with about 450 odd cadets participating in the drill and marchpast. What you saw was the culmination of 3 years of hardwork for the passing out cadets and over a month's hard work by the Adjutant and the Drill "Sahabs" to present the spectacle at it's best.

Incidentally, many dignitaries, including the Queen of Endland have been the Chief Guests in the NDA POP.

Love the discipline in the ranks of our armed forces. Love the way they are immaculately dressed. Saw a meal session in IMA once, its to be seen to be believed. Clock work precision even while eating.

NOTE:- I would have loved it even more if you would have spelt in DEFENCE instead of DEFENSE. I know both are right (British and American spellings) But NDA being a premier institution in our country and the pride of our Armed forces, its best to spell it how they spell it.

If you agree maybe you can ask the moderator's to do the needfull correction

BTW for your information, while addressing armed forces personnel, you don't need to add the normal salutation used for men and women. The correct way to address is Rank and Name like General V.K.Singh etc. Secondly regional commands are headed by Lt.Gen rank officers and not Lt.Col. IIRC the ranks are called GOC-in-C. You might want to check it out.
