Hi
Like a lot of you, I waste a lot of time on youtube and other online video hosting sites. There is a lot of original content which gets uploaded onto Youtube and some have even gone as far as to have full fledged shows that are updated on a regular basis. These aren't just random videos uploaded but have a lot more organized content. How about using this thread to share some of our favourite shows and perhaps discover other shows that we may not know about. I guess this is the best way to support shows like this.
First up is the Drive network on Youtube which is my favourite. They have different segments covering everything from super car factory visits, muscle car builds, road trips, motorsport coverage, car cleaning tips & a segment for tuned cars. They upload a new video almost everyday and are definitely worth checking out.
Featuring, Ex-evo Chris Harris, Mike Spinelli of Jalopnik, Leo Parente, Alex Roy, JF Musial & Mike Musto among others.

The Drive Network also puts out another show called Fast Lane Daily for car news.

Next up is a eGarage on Vimeo which is mostly car porn.

Then we have EVOTV which I believe is an online only show. Excellent travelogues featuring super cars among other reviews.

Autoexpress also uploads reviews from time to time and although they are very informative, I don't think they're as good as the rest of the ones I have mentioned.

My favourite online car show is BBC Top Gear. They cover lots and lots of information about International scene. Recently, I was viewing a video in which they are viewing and giving their views on Mercedes SLS AMG. Top gear usually put videos at the end of month but any of their videos watched are awesome!

Even like you, I also like auto Express for the informative reviews but they don't match the rest of the reviews by other companies. Well, right now, I was watching their review of 2012 Porsche Boxster.

As of now, I usually watch only these two on youtube and the other ones you mentioned are informative as well!
Keep revvin'

Topgear is a great show but its not really an online show is it?
This is an extract from the infamous Gumball 3000 series.
The camera car (Porsche TT guessing by the sound) goes out of control at the corner at 7:06.
My question:
Is this the notoriously talked about oversteer-sway-risk that one takes when a Porsche is purchased? Guessing by the location of the engine, this is not surprising.
But the car speed seemed too slow such a thing to have occurred, I am guessing the driver was not paying attention.
I guess this is the kind of stuff where the driven front two wheels really give the Lambos an edge.

Also, it is interesting to note that it was the notorious Kim Dotcom of Megaupload fame that was in the Benz @ 4:20.
The Porche was'nt at high speed on the corner. I think that the driver got distracted & simply did'nt anticipate the tighter curvature of the turn. He then over-compensated & slid. The engine at the rear may not have such a big part to play as the 'G' forces were low due to relatively low speed. Maybe even a tyre puncture.
There was no screeching sound and the engine roar indicates that the car was slowing down, I mean car wasn't accelerating. Apparently driver wasn't paying attention.
First of all, it would have been understeer and not oversteer!
Anyway, the crash was due to pure driver negligence. He dint see the corner probably? There shouldn't be any understeer at the speed which the porsche was doing. It was simply too slow.
Nothing oversteer or anything.
He didn't pay attention and steer on time, could have happened to any driver be it on safe FWD or nanny AWD.
BTW, at the speed he was doing at the corner, the driven wheels don't matter.
Understeer & ill-anticipation by the driver seems to be the culprit.
Didn't see the car doing a high speed cornering to cause this. Maybe lack of focus followed by over compensation
