Before ridiculing someone who is posting in public interest, please get your facts right. Towards the concluding part of the ad 'John Abraham', the role model for some who have serious issues with their IQ, says "No sweat".

Jayabusa - My comment was based on personal experiece of using one such product (reputed make) couple of years ago.

Used it for exactly 4 days and tossed it into the bin. No difference in perspiration and resulted in severe skin irritations. Maybe due to the alcohol ppml content in the concoction?

Never used one again. Don't intend to as well. No offence intended friend.

I feel the Anchor Ad and Sanitary Napkin Ads are intentionally made so as to attract maximum attention. They are new and small brands trying to compete with giants. So they have to put ads like these. And as regards to John Abraham Ad, it is surely a misleading and cheating ad like Fair & Lovely Ads since last decade or more.

This ad is the pits! Don't know how it didn't make it to this thread earlier since it's quite a few months old now. As it is most BSNL ads are rubbish.

Did anyone understand the new Tata safari ad, where the two guys are stranded in the sea and the next thing they show is the safari.

Maybe I am just stupid, I did not understand it.

I asked the same doubt on the Safari 2010 thread .. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...-2010-a-9.html

Follow the conv between Amartya and myself there.

Iam still skeptical as to what exactly the ad means though ... hmmmmm.... any help?

@Windride - Thanks for the pointer, me too didn't understand the ad of Safari like Hemant & came to this thread to post one. That ad is quite senseless IMO; better than that, they could've simply used a 10 second ad & state Tata Safari now available for 7.75L. But again, is that the real meaning or the older Safari drowned in sea?

From what I could understand its about those who love safari.

These guys are in the middle of sea and instead of thinking ways to go back they are talking unbelievable price of Safari.

Now I wonder if there is a prologue to this (why are they in the water? boat/ship accident ? air crash?)

And if any such event, then is there a reason that the new prices did something to induce this accident and their such state of affairs.

This can be the only logical explanation of that ad.

I fail to understand why they make such ads, which fail to deliver the message clearly.

Maybe because, when nobody gets it, people remember that ad more than other ads and will ask others about it. Now tell me guys, honestly how many of us remember other automotive ads as much.

hmmm..
that's a plausible interpretation.
But what's with the safari coming thru a marshy place at the end of the ad.
has the final clip anything to do with the two blokes seen earlier?

Regarding the new Safari ad : Maybe they managed to drown their old Safari, and the other guy must have suggested they buy a new one, since a new Safari now comes for just 7.75 lakhs.

the next piece is to show the beast cruising along (again to those who love Safari)

The visuals of it throwing dust and coming out (like a lion), awesome picturisation.

I think its more to create the wow effect for the safari.

I LOVE that scene, want to see it again and again, and may be more than that 2-4 secs visual of the beast.

Safari ads have been showing the beast what its meant to be.

Speaking about the new Safari Ad...

Man this is the most desperate and probably the most craziest attempt of an ad-director to attract attention towards the product. I hate this ad.

Still trying to figure out the story behind the conversation of the guys floating in water, and then the appearance of Safari through slush mud.

Another funny thing

Quote:
Guy1: Do you think I'm a fool?!
Guy2: Really yar.. I'm not joking..
How many of the audience will think Guy2 is speaking about Safari price? I initially thought Guy2 is just pulling legs of Guy1, by saying he really is a fool.
