Hi All,

Do you guys remember the old add for 'Dhara Groundnut Oil', where the kid runs away from home and goes to railway station. And at last returns home with the home servant (Ramu kaka) when he comes to know that his mom has made 'jalebis'.

My second favourite is the 'Feviquick' ad, where one gentleman was fishing on a river bank and one villager comes with just one wooden stick and places 5 dots of feviquick on the stick and within 3 sec catches 5 fish and runs back. Experssions were hillarious.

About the ad. Is there an attempt by the showroom guy to behave like a German Military guy with no emotions / feelings or is he just a bad actor?

The ad has great shots of the Jetta and Passat but falls plonk in trying to stir any emotional quotient in viewers!
You know what, people who don't know about VW's plagiarism are liking the ad very much. Not the case with global Indian petrolheads though.

@NC: Good point there.

I really didn't like the Fevicol ad - as a concept it's fine but I could not relate to it.

The new Vodafone ad with the smashed Uno, the uncleji and the Northeastern lady pains me.

Why did they have to smash the rear end of an Uno, considering how hard it would be to get the light replaced? They could have easily chosen, say, a Maruti for the ad.

Of course the car could have had the accident before the ad shoot, but I doubt it.
