Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

One of the new matrimony ads just rings all the bad bells!

The ultimate gift to a daughter who has just graduated from college is a husband?

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

Did someone notice LIC (yes our very own sarkaari LIC) ad in which a kid is asking his uncle in the beginning, "Chachu aapko kaisi ladki chhahiye" and in the end "suggesting" that "Shaadi us ladki se karo jo aapko Pyaar kare". I really wish to meet and congratulate the creative director of that ad for setting the very high benchmark for Dimaagi Diwaliyaapan (Mental Insolvency).

I had mixed feelings after seeing the ad. I was horrified by the effect of such an ad on our children. But the concept seems to be new.

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

Saif Ali Khan's Amul Macho ad. Are they trying to portray that a detective wears vests (only) & can solve a case or win a sprint (the earlier ad) by wearing a vest?

Yes, there have been meaningless advertisements on tv, but this for sure takes the cake.

And one rant, why do celebs (film-stars & cricketers alike) appear on a fairness ad? At least they should be wise enough not to link fairness with success.

I hate these flipkart advertisements!

Is the director trying to make it look cute

I don't think its that bad. I think it was designed with a concept in mind. They wanted to make sure that "No Kidding" part of the ad is highlighted and to drill home the point that there is indeed a replacement on all products for 30 days

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

This is one advert that i find really irritating and stupid...

The Nissan Sunny. Sounds more like a Faaaaart than a Caaaaaaaar when the guy in the lift says it.

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

Even the new Swift advertisement is plain irritating where the car keeps going past the guy reading a newspaper & with an even more irritating jingle.

It's just the love for the car that keeps my eyes glued to the tv with all the rest of my senses switching off.

i dont know.
maybe the execution didnt appeal, but the idea is too close to my heart at least.
If you go to ansal plaza in delhi, and head towards the underground parking, the ramp that leads to the parking has glass on one side.
anybody knows what i am talking about?
I've done with all my cars and bikes....

no doubt, all of us have been there & done that. Yea the execution was sad & the painful jingle & they show the guy reading the paper more than the car.
