Since the premium is due on their anniversary, did the couple took the policy on the day they got married !! Man, I thought they must be busy that day doing marriage preprations, rather then filling and submitting policy forms!

Just look at all those Bingo ads that are doing the round these days... I hate every single one of them... One of my friends in ITC got a royal kick in the backside (from me) because his company was airing such ads which us viewers have to put up with..

I think that the Bingo ads are annoying and extremely innovative. And get a full thumbs up from me.

In a country where Ruffles Lays was synonymous with chips, everyone suddenly knows what Bingo is. And that's advertising!

I kinda like the Bingo ads. They way they drilled their brand name into people's heads was amazing. Now, my wife SPECIFICALLY asks for Bingo when we head to buy chips, over the Lays was in favor earlier.

@Sam: I agree they are good advertising. Everyone knows about Bingo but that does not make them eye catching advertisements. People often remember them because of teh sheer queerness on television and talk about them.

I agree that I too have tried Bingo (although the reason is more loyalty towards a friend who markets the product than the advertisement recall). The product is good and with the strong distribution channel backign would probably become a hot seller. Anyway, that is management gyan and is better left outside the forum...

Remember the Sona Chandi Chawanprash ad of Ganguly (?)? Hilarious..

And what about the Happydent advertisements? Lights and all from the teeth??

Isnt that what they want? I tihnk that ad campaign was highly successful, A really different ad campaign and IMO pretty good product recall after the ad.

I know a lot of people who tried Bingo only because of the ads.

@khanak

Advertising is a great game. It is a game of creating recall in the memory of the customer. They have done this. So good advertising. But the quality of the advertisements (and I am specifically talking about the recent advertisement - The Doctor, fully taped man, chip tasting - "Crunchy", dance sequence by entire hospital staff) have to be standout.. they need to stick to the head.. IMO they stick to mine because they are just pathetic but they do stick there . Their purpose is served.. it is great advertising.. not a great advertisement (minute difference but different nonetheless)

While the ad in itself isnt really that creative or brilliant, it certainly does draw everyone's attention to the product and like you said, thats great advertising.

Has anyone seen this french ad for the Peugeot 206 limited edition? Super cool music and I love it for very obvious reasons.
