Howcome no mention of Pramod Mahajan on TBHP ??

Hey, The last 48 hrs all the news channels in our country have been going on and on and on about the Pramod Mahajan saga but our team-bhp forum hasn't even started a thread on this issue ... !

Personally I fail to understand the media ... I mean don't they have other better things to cover than the JJ Hospital and whats happening there ?? I agree its sad and he's in a serious condition and all that blah blah blah but come on , does this need so much of coverage ?? It was his brother who shot him and thus pointing to an internal family matter and thus no gossip, no scandal to it but the Media seems to be stuck to the gates of the hospital and everything else has just vanished from the news as if this is the biggest disaster to hit our country .. HOW CAN IT BE BREAKING NEWS FOR 48 HRS ??? Its ridiculous ....

Lets hear what other member have to say on this .... ??

Cheers

The media my freind has lost all sensibilities... al they want to do is sell by any means.
Be it silly coverage of someone important... some incident(like salman's case) or be it a crime report(the worst)... they overcook stuff to such an extent that its almost a turn off :-(

i think the the angle of the stories changes as time passes ...

Breaking News Angle :

Day 1 : The incident. What happenned and why? and who did it ...

Day 2 : Mahajan's Health. Chances of him surviving and his health status

Logged onto Indiatimes.com a few hours back. The home page had it in bold letters :

Breaking News : Mahajan smiles at son.

I don't know what to say on that!

I think we have sense enough not to care about politicians. I think that answers the question khaadu. Also let us close this thread. LOL

Howcome no mention of Pramod Mahajan on TBHP ??

With due respect to the man, i would like to pray for his speedy recovery.

However, i would like him to ponder over an incident which occured probably 10-15 years back:

There was a Cong govt in center/maharashtra and they had increased local train fares. BJP-SS combine organized a maharashtra bandh and stalled traffic near churchgare-VT stations in mumbai. Since the traffic was stalled, an ambulance couldnt pass by and a baby who was being rushed to the hospital died.

The TV channels reported the news and asked Proamod Mahajan for his comments.

Pramod Mahajan expressed regret, however he blamed Congress for the incident.
His colleague Kirit Somaiyya said that this was a minor incident and such incidents are bound to happen in a "large movement".

Needless to say, i lost all respect for both of them.

i was discussing this very topic family yesterday.. i mean isn't pravin mahajan just another deranged murderer? he isn't even confirmed mentally ill! still the news channels are going on and on and on about how it all happened. and they keep repeating the same goddamn thing. in one coverage on ndtv 24 7.... i can swear that he said 'pumped
three bullets into him' 3 times! and what do u know, it was in yesterdays newspaper as well!

And the British Doctor is a Muslim. Wonder what the VHP and Narendra Modi will say to that.

P.S. Not intending to start a communal war here, but the irony is amazing.

While I have every sympathy with Mr.P. Mahajan and his family, I would blame the media squarely for being crazy.... they will latch on to anything for a story and keep it alive......
You don't need to stretch your imagination to see what they can do if given half a chance.... some examples

Day 1: The story……
Day 2: Chances of his surviving and .......
Day 3: Liver transplant: pros and cons – Expert panel
Day 4: Anatomy of a Browning pistol
Day 5: Anatomy of a soft nosed bullet
Day 6: Panel discussion : Expert from Army: What happens when a bullet
enters the human body. Demonstration – Pumping bullets into a Pumpkin.
Day 7: Psychiatry panel discussion: Feelings of a pumpkin–when fired at...
Day 8: Effects of kidney failure on a human body.
Day 9: Effects of a kidney failure on Maharashtra
Day10: Effects of kidney failure on India
Day11: Effects of kidney failure on the world
Day12: Effects of kidney failure on the universe…….
