Cash on Delivery Scams: Always Check the Contents of the Package!

Even websites like PepperFry and Infibeam send it by such courier guys that also refuse to let the package be opened before being paid. Luckily the package from Infibeam arrived without issues. I never ordered anything from Pepperfry, after reading the horror stories from several buyers. I just ordered from Snapdeal and will receive it tomorrow, will have to see what this courier guy says to that.

Never ordered anything COD from Flipkart, god knows how they behave. Only Indians can make a scam out of everything and anything

This sort of thing is pretty common with Readers Digest. If you are a subscriber, from time to time you tend to receive books via COD that are more than double the shelf price. We have had couple of instances like these since Jan this year. In one instant the COD was accepted thinking someone in the family that ordered for the books as we have a subscription of Readers Digest (INR 1000 bucks), in the 2nd instance the value was close to 2000 bucks and it was rejected.
