Just got MTNL TriBand connection at my place.
I have subscribed for the DSL 599 plan(Rs599/month),which has 1024MB(1GB) of free downloads per month(unlimited free uploads) + Additional downloads at Rs0.80/MB,and speed of 512kbps.
I haven't taken night unlimited plan,because it's 256kbps,and at same price,and I'm not heavy downloader,so,don't need night unlimited plan.
Speed checks on various sites show actual speeds between 440kbps-472kbps..pretty good..
Almost no downtime at all..but pathetic customer service..they don't have any kind of technical knowledge at all(the helpdesk representatives)..

Highly recommended for the cost/speed/no downtime/minimal installation charges/no extra cables/wiring required.

cheers,
sr

BSNL dataone Home 500 plan. It's 500 per month for 1 GB. Just got it. Speeds are pretty good, nominally 256 kbps but have measured around 400 kbps. Use a Dlink router and share the connection between two PCs in the house.

Interesting topic. I used to pay 2200(Including taxes etc.,) for my BSNL dataone 1800 plan(512kbps). Now shifting to Airtel 999 plan ( 256kbps unlimited).

I have a VSNL-Tata Indicom broadband connection @ 512 Kbps and speed is decent. Customer support sucks though not as bad as BSNL.... pay anywhere between 500-600/month.

Used to pay around 1100 for an Airtel broadband but now paying around 600 for BSNL broadband as we shifted to the outskirts and there was no other service provider in the area. BSNL sucks big time with bad service.
