If you notice Ethiopian Airlines hijacked plane ditching in the Ocean, you can see how the waves tossed the plane around.

agree:. The waves caused the plane to land on its left wing which lead to a cartwheel. The plane was doomed thereafter with no chances of a recovery or a landing on the water. Imagine a 200 tonner machine cartwheeling & being thrown all around:Shockked:

Latest update from Malaysian Govt Press conference:
The Defence minister has denied a report that engine data from the plane indicated it may have kept flying for four hours. They are already in touch with Rolls Royce and Boeing and those reports are inaccurate.Neither Boeing nor Rolls Royce had received any data beyond the point at which air traffic control lost contact with the flight at 01:07 local time
So whats next?
In the meantime, China has mocked Malaysia for using a witch doctor to predict the status of air craft.

and there is another report that Nigerian Paster has predicted this incident last year..!

More interesting stories and assumptions now

Typically engine performance gets reported through ACARS and I thought MH did not broadcast that during flight. Maybe there are other ways of transmitting engine performance. Dont know.

It just adds to the mystery, if not to say complete chaotic confussion around this accident

And now there is another denial by Malaysian Authorities. They have stated that the 'makers of the aircraft' did not receive any data from the aircraft.

Why there is so much confusion about this particular mishap? Is it a case of bad management by Malaysia or are they concealing something which can bring down the reputation of some parties?

Edit: And again the turnaround. It was in some reports that the crew member, particularly the captain's place was raided on lookout for evidence for sabotage, but again Malaysian authorities have denied it.

I feel the Malaysian authorities know the whereabouts of this plane for sure. They are hoodwinking the public. God know why. Could be a deliberate action from the crew members on board the plane that has resulted in a crash as evident by switching off the transponders. Majority of the travelers are Chinese. May be the Malaysian authorities are worried about the consequences if China were to know the truth.
That is why they are indulging in such acts like denial, going back on what they have said, calling witch doctor and many more yet to come.

Since, it is all speculation, and the authorities are not giving away any solid information, if the plane has not crashed yet, it might have been hijacked. And the authorities may be doing their best to hide the fact and not to trade after been contacted. It's a wild guess.

The United Airlines that landed into Hudson river did not break up on impact.

Technically, AF447 stalled and fell into the Ocean whereas Hudson miracle is, to an extent, controlled ditching. That too full credits to the Pilot that he ditched in a way it didn't break on impact (Aircraft suffered severe damages though). It's an extremely unlikely scenario. That's why we call it a miracle. I doubt one can achieve that in night. That too in an Ocean where the water is not as calm as a river.

If MH370 for some reason did ditch and went down in one or two pieces with no debris that could float, it's going to be one hell of a challenge for SAR teams.

The captain of MH370, Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, was an avid flight sim enthusiast, as is evident from his flight sim setup- Saitek Flight Yoke, rudder pedal, throttle quadrant with multiple screens, he had his own personal fantastic flight simulator.

For those who are interested; here's a link to an (old) Boeing 777 training manual. Chapter 8.4 details ditching. Looks easy enough, but would be a real challenge in the pitch darkness and waves.

One cannot approach this mystery with past facts and examples. Just because something has not happened before it doesn't mean it's impossible. The reason we are sticking to past is that's how we can analyse a situation. We cannot approach MH370 mystery with astro/scientific assumptions like 'sucked into wormhole' or 'abducted by aliens'. Let's leave that to conspiracy enthusiasts.

Let's assume only three possible scenarios.

1. Crashed
2. Hijacked
3. Cast-away

1. If we take crashed as a reason, we should have some lead for this theory. South China Sea or Malacca Strait is not as big as Pacific/Atlantic/Indian Ocean. With 40+ vessels and 12 countries someone should have come-up with something. They haven't yet, leave only two possibilities:

A. They are searching in the wrong location
B. They haven't started underwater yet

I strongly support the theory that plane went towards Indian Ocean. Recently a British pilot suggested that the plane could have crashed between Madagascar and Australia (Hypoxia+Auto-Pilot). Even if not that far, somewhere in Indian Ocean is a possible scenario. It's more than 5 days now and SAR teams have to consider the possibility and look for debris there before the tide (that carries the debris) and time runs out. If the Black-Box is capable of signalling only for 30 days, then in a time perspective, it's a drop in the Indian Ocean. The SAR area is that big!!!

2. If hijacked for whatever motive, they need support from some country to land, hide or refuel. I don't think any country is that stupid knowing most of the passengers are from China. It'll be like Nano asking Hummer for a head-on.

3. Cast-away is more dramatic, but considering the number of remote islands around this part of the world, plane could have ditched/crashed into mountains with few survivors who have no means to communicate. Remember JAL123? There were four survivors (I think) many hours after the crash into the mountains.

You may ask why Satellites are not of much use. I support the reason that US/China/India (the three biggest and 'has an eye' on this part of the world) would reveal what their satellites are capable of, to the rest of the world.

Now, tell me. Is this mystery man-made or accidental?

The most surprising fact that, if plane is continued to fly hours after ACARS put off, why not any other ground based traditional radars recorded Alien Blips on screens. This is extremely puzzling for everyone.

It may be the case that whole plane without disintegrating drown in underwater without leaving any trace on water. If this is the case, it would be extremely difficult to find, as there is no known position.

One more big question: Why Pilots are allowed/equipped to turnoff ACARS/Transponder ? Is it not Security Threat? ACARS should work itself and no-body from ground or from cockpit able to switch off Transponders which are vital for communication.

Also no one talks further about the reports of passengers phones ringing upto the next day.
if the plane was at its normal flying altitude, that is beyond any cellphone signal range so cannot ring, if it is under the ocean too the same case would apply. So was it at ground level somewhere ?

Also if the phone did ring that means end to end n/w connectivity was established in which case they can trace the towers.

If this were not the case at least they could have released a statement saying the reports of passengers phones ringing is a hoax we checked that out. But I don't see any such statements either.

Vanishing planes since 1948
Some 83 aircraft have been declared “missing” since 1948, according to data compiled by the Aviation Safety Network. The list includes planes capable of carrying more than 14 passengers and where no trace — bodies or debris — has ever been found.

New twist to the tale!

We still don't know what has happened to the flight yet. Sad. Really sad for the people who've lost their loved ones.

Still believe the theory that plane went towards Indian Ocean and now US Navy ship is heading in that direction. Cmdr. William Marks said "Moving into the Indian Ocean is like going "from a chess board to a football field."

Sorry for lame query please:: Aren't airplanes equipped with GPS transmitter which should have forwarded its co-ordinates and also it is not possible to power off the device
