My new ride - Mitsubishi Lancer LX

Got my car y'day, and have been enjoying it since then. Just got back home after a good spin around town with a couple of frnds enjoying everybit of it.

For more details on the car, check out the BHP Garage.

Thanks to Autopsyche, Blueraven and Psycho for helping me out with all the stuff.

Congratulations on your car.

I hope to read your review on it soon.

Some points.

1. Stock lancer produces 87 horses. (www.lancerinindia.com)

2. If went through with the modications. So the power would be surely more than stock, right?

3. How about a spoiler?

4. the Alloys look nice.

The K&N rules! I can wouch for K&N's performance. I drove teh car ( was with Karthik the whole day) before and after the install and biy, it rocks. Teh sound is awesome. It starts working from 2k up rpm. After 4k, its . I should also add that he got the spark plugs changed to NGK Iridium and hence "maybe" it also helped add teh performance boost.

The spoiler is on its way and so are other stuffs .

@Dev, interiors, ICE and body kit will be in soon if everything goes well.

@Rev, tyres are Yokohama AVS Sport 205/50 R15 tyres and they are impressive. No squeeling what-so-ever till now.

:
Can someone tell me the right PSI for those tyres..

The GTi180/RC arrives with OEM 205/40R17 Pirelli P7000s. Unfortunately, it seems that it does not always arrive with the [required] inflation label on the B pillar. Advice that we have received indicates that the correct pressure for these tyres is 2.4 bar (or 35.2 psi).

These are the generally accepted pressure recommendations with factory fitted tyres. (PSI front / PSI rear)
  • GTi138 MY99-MY01 185/55 R15V - 35/35
  • GTi138 MY01-MY04 205/45 R16Z - 33/33
  • GTi180/RC MY03-MY04 205/40 R17W. - 35/35

Well...it was JK at the wheel about 90% of the time. He was just too floored by the car.
