The HU is a 2006 model and provide the utmost clarity to the sound and can read almost all formats of CD/CD-RW/CD-R including mp3s of all possible CBR VBR (as listed in the manual).
Expected price: Rs 4199 (not negotiable at all.. yeah it sounds like 4100 but its actually 4200 :-)) I can accompany you (on weekends only) on the installation of the HU on your preferred shop (or I can suggest some if you dont have a clue) and if you are not satisfied I will give you your precious money back.
N.B. - It doesn't play wma ( I also thought that god.. it doesn't play wma.. which pioneer HU plays while purchasing the HU), but believe me when I heard the two. This was my verdict:
1) Pioneer - Plays quite well with lot of good features. Also plays wma.
2) Alpine - Less on features compared to Pioneer, but the quality stands out from Pioneer. And I never compromise with the quality. Moreover, I thought that, who has the patience to convert all my mp3 collection to wma.. so xrew wma and xrew pioneer.
