Hi,

I have done 4 trips from Mumbai to Delhi (and back) in last 1.5 yrs and obviously, I drove thru Gujrat. Due to Monsoon the roads must be in bad shape as far as Surat-Baroda stretch goes, I would not advice you to drive during monsoon on Mumbai-Gujrat stretch.

Hey dude chill..not an issue..As rishi_kapoor said the roads between surat and baroda are little bad but otherwise the roads are a gem.Had been some months back in my puny 800 till junagadh and absolutely no problem. Was doing 100 to 120 continiously on my 800 so u can imagine how much fun u ll have with your esteem.Rains have stopped and the water has subsided now on the highways so u can carry on with your trip.

Coincidence, but just spoke to someone who drove down from Ahmedabad. The roads are trashed! I was planning to drive down to check out a Camry, and he strongly recommended flying down.

Oh Rajkot thats about 800 kms one way. I suggest wait till 9th and see. The problem should taper off. But then, you cant be 100% sure either.
Try to get some information from your relatives in Ahmedabad & Rajkot as well in the next week.

Hey pdev29,

I Suggest you that wait till 9th if the rains will stops completely then you can come by road otherwise there will be long Q of trucks.
Roads between bombay to surat will be fine from surat to baroda it may be little bad and from baroda if you are going to ahmedabad take an expressway there will be no problem.

Just Let me know if u have any questions.

Cheers,
Mugen_Power.

The condition of the roads is not good. There are potholes all over the place.
You try to save your Right wheel but your Left will surely go into one. Infact road from Mumbai-Surat so so bad that the bad patch between Surat-Baroda seems to be paradise.
