You r basing the decision on woman's views. Try asking a few other women wht they think abt mods. I doubt all of them will reply the same. And as said b'fore car should be modified to suit the driver's personality. So do wht u want!!! And the person u talked to, may be she has had encounters with the stupidly modified cars that the streets are full of!!
