Hi guys,
Lotsa poll coming up in the last few weeks that could really make you think. Here's one from my side.
Situation : *Whatever car you have is a base model without alloys, optional extra and a very basic sound system.

Now if u were given 20 grands and were asked to spend the entire amount on your car, which is the only mod that you would do? The only options are :

1.> Interior Mods (including leather seats, music system etc etc)

2.> Exterior Mods : (Alloys, skirts, spoilers etc)

3.> Performance Mods : (Filters, headers, free flow, tyres etc)TYRES INCLUDED IN PERFORMANCE SECTION AND NOT EXTERIOR MODS

Note : You will have to spend the entire amount only on one of these. So think carefully before spending.

The alloys and wider tyres is what made me choose option 2. Don't really care much for skirts and spoilers.

Would have voted for performance, but if the tyres are gonna be the puny stock ones, increasing power will just be a waste of time and money.

First get the tyres fitted and then think about engine mods.

Hey V12, I think you need to move tyres to the performance section! That'd make it a lot simpler.

Or maybe this is what you wanted all along, us to beat our heads...grrr

I'm with Sh2 on this...tyres are the single biggest performance improvement you can make, so I choose Option 2.

Rt

As V12 changed his mind and added tyres to the peformance section (rightly so too !!) I change my vote!

I go for performance mods. Given the average condition of roads in bangalore, wont wider tyres make the ride more uncomfortable and shorten the lifespan of alloys? I mean, if i go for wider tyres and mags to enhance the performance, i would be so keen to test them out that i'll soon end up with cracked mags and a broken back.

hehe Amitoj, that's a nice concept you got there. You need a Powerful car, which you don't plan to rip and which should provide a great deal to ride comfort.

Maybe you're thinking about a "Maybach 62".

Exactly. Never to under estimate anyone and book should not be judged by its cover.

I ll surely go for performance mods.Let my car look simple from outside but whats inside that matters.

Performance mods for me . Nothing to scare the hell out of some non suspecting flashly looking car in street racing with your simple looking performance machine. Did a lotta that with my Premier Padmini 1.6 diesel, 5 Speed Isuzu tranny

plus, aint it so much more fun when a stock looking car licks a modded car that has only cosmetic mods?
To take GTo's expression further, better a wolf in sheep's clothing than a sheep in the wolf's!

Given the amount of time i will be spending inside the car and that i would mostly be using it for commuting to work and back.. the first thing that i would do would be interior mods.. mainly a better music system. Next come the tyres and stuff.
So given only one option i would go for interior mods first.

Interiors for me. I look for more comfort in my ride.

Is Sun roof internal or external mod?
