I believe it was a 575 Maranello, in dark blue. Chances are it could be a 550 Maranello too.

RONIN. Totally amazing. Last chase scene, 31 cars including a truck are destroyed. Most of the cars are Peugeot 106s and 205s (sniff!). Chase involves a Peugeot 405 ripping to catch up with an E34 5-series. The late great John Frankenheimer created what was to be the foundation of all car scenes. If you haven't seen his work, head to www.bmwfilms.com and see one of the season one movies he created, Ambush.

Ronin is again a very good concept of a movie. You need to concentrate through the dialogues to understand the depth and intelligence with which it has been shot. Its good enough to have it in your own movie library.

Gone in sixty seconds with the Shelby in full throttle sounds great, but as usual the scene with Nitrous Oxide is blown out of proportion.

Taxi has some wonderful scenes so does Transporter. The former is a great movie besides the scenes, the latter you can just watch for the chases.

Finally, Cannonball run with the Countach is one helluva chase scene. I owe GTO that one.

Anyone who's played Burnout 3 will find a bit of similarity in certain tracks when the train in the movie goes overhead and Hackman drives around the pillars.. loved it.

i loved the car chase sequence in " the peace keeper " starring George Clooney and Nicole Kidman ....
Mercedes Vs BMW was shot nicely especially the scene where George Clooney in Merc repeatedly backs into the Bad guys BMW ...

and I like the Car Chases in " Ronin " also ...
and i also liked the car / tank chase in Bond Movie starring Pierce Brosnan through the Moscow streets ... I think its Golden Eye ...

Oh yes! How could I forget that! That was one of the most amazingly devastative concept - a jeep being chased by a TANK thru CITY ROADS! Loved it

I also really enjoyed the formula cars chase thru the city streets in DRIVEN - sly stallone chasing the other kimi raikonnen lookalike .. totally far fetched but completely exhilerating!



Not to mention the awesome slow-mo crash with that Montoya lookalike...!
