R.I.P Guderian!

Guderian Harish Govind is no more.
He passed away from renal failure yesterday night at Thane.
Cremation is at 11 am today morning near Kondke Stadium, Thane.

HG was one of the most energetic, knowledgeable & helpful people I have known.
We have discussed, breakfasted, driven together.
He was a key resource in this Forum. He had an answer to everything, an argument to make in every conversation.
He could embarass you with the extent of help and friendliness. His wit and sarcasm were unmatched.

My condolences to his wife Rathi & his son Lalit. She is devastated by the loss, the illness was a silent killer, she says, and Harish in his own way never lamented his fate but suffered in his own private world.

Here is the last salute, my dear friend,

HVK

R.I.P Guderian!

Shocking news. Am still stunned.

I hadn't met Guderian in a couple of years now and in fact was wondering why even the occasional PM had dried up. Now it all makes sense.

His Fortuner ownership thread is a tribute to his personality- a thorough gentleman, sharp as a knife and loyal and military-like in everything he did.

RIP friend Guderian.

Fleet Admiral Togo Heihachiro - Toyota Fortuner. Life Sails On...

I had opened this thread hoping to see Guderian make a come back. But alas !

You were the first one whose thread I had gone through on Team-Bhp.

Never got a chance to meet you.
May his soul rest in peace.

Re: Good Bye, Heinz Guderian

Salute to the thorough gentleman, who lived a life that I'd be blessed even to have reached a fraction of! May his soul rest in peace! I regret, as many here, not having had the opportunity to meet in person.

Is there an obituary link somewhere that we can post messages to?

Shocking news.

Now I know why he was not replying on this thread. Had interacted with him over PM's and on various threads. A thorough gentleman in every way. He was a great resource on various topics not least the offroading and Fortuner group adventures.

Sir you will be remembered and missed. May your soul rest in peace.

May God give strength to your survivors to cope with the immense loss.

Very sad and most shocking news.

Must say, he didn't disclose abt his illness during our meetings.

No wonder he was missing from our Fortuner drives over the last 1 year.

He was the founder of our TFOG group. Always known him to be a lively, jovial, quick witted & a warm person. 4 years back, I actually started enjoying my Fortuner ownership under his guidance.

A very knowledgeable and a senior contributor on TBHP.

I've shared at least 15 odd drives with him over the last 4 years and so many countless discussions over so many things.

Have lost a good part of our life. Have lost a good friend.

Herr Generale'
May you rest peace 😔

Only in a crisis do we tend to reflect. This is a big loss to the community and everyone else who values genuine people. Rest in peace sir... You will be remembered, always.

OMG ! :(

I can't believe this news. Harish ji was such a lively and great gentleman.

His passion towards his vehicles, especially his T-Fort was a benchmark. I have rarely seen such a well maintained vehicle inspite of being used daily.

Salute to a great person. I will miss him and so will many of us whose lives had been touched by Harish in one way or another.

I had met him on 4-5 meets and he was always the life of the meets, the anchor. His jokes never used to stop flowing.

RIP sir.

Re: R.I.P Guderian!

Deeply saddened to hear of this. A life too young to go away!! Guderian was a fine man, a great writer and a true enthusiast. His reports were always a joy to read...his Fortuner ownership review is a classic.

I remember him going out of his way to give us a guest review of the Santa Fe. All I had to do was request him once, and he was there.

Rest in peace, buddy. My sincere condolences to the family.

This is indeed a big loss & sad day for the BHPians & the fellow T-FOGGERS.

We did many drives together and Guderian always impressed with his knowledge, passion for Admiral (Thats what he called his Fortuner) & hi Travelogues which followed.

I just messaged him for his Birthday earlier this month and those were his last words;

Instead want to thank him for his contribution to the Team-Bhp & our Fortuner group.

RIP GUDERIAN;

No matter where you are, you will always be missed.

Salute

RIP Guderian!
I have interacted with HG on countless occasions on PM and Facebook, he always went out of his way to answer your queries.

I pray to the Almighty to provide strength to his family in these trying times.

Rest in peace and a final salute to you sir!
