Yesterday, i was channel surfing when i came apon this movie being aired on Start Movies called "Where's the party, yaar?" or something like that.

Anyway, there's this scene in the movie where the guy's dad startes insulting his Supra, when the guy interrupts his father and says "Dad, that car does 0-60 in 9 secs".

Can some one help me understand what he meant by that? Does there exist a Supra, that is capable such horrible performace.

I can understand if someone says this at a press conference where once you've said it, you've said it. But this is a movie, wasn't there a single person on the set, who felt that there might be something wrong with that statement?

What in the world was the movie editor doin??

That movie should be renamed to ""Where's are the Turbo, *yaar?""

And to think that the car in the movie looked like the White Supra, Asif Ahmed has (in design).

thats 0-100 Kmph (more or less , its more like 0-96)
So 0-100 Kmph in 9 secs.. Now is that a bad figure for supra ? I dont know.. But a Lancer with L2 Turbo, L2 Ecu and L2 Engine upgrade with custom Map turbo and Ecu does 0-60 in 3.4 Secs On a dynamo In NeedForSpeed UnderGround2... Wait i have unlocked a supra in that game, lemme check the car on the virtual dynamo, ill post da figures.. and remember its just a game, need not represent the real performance fugures, only a ruff estimation

I know that's 0-60mph.

9 secs ain't shabby if your driving a normal family sedan. But if you look at what tuned Supras are capable of, he should have said ""Dad, that car does a 1/4 mile in 9 secs"".

hmm... funny.. 0-60 and 0-100 looks like its on MPH scale, but top speed is in Kmph(I gave the option of showing Kmph instead of MPH in the game, maybe b'coz of that). what do u think guys?
I can do a Quarter mile drag (or 0-400M drag) and post the time and speed..

168.1 KW = 225 bhp!!! Supra has 320bhp. The 3rd gen Turbo Surpa came with around 230bhp but that car looked totally diff. The one in the movie was the 4th Gen Supra which i can see in the pic you've posted.

Well if you car is hitting 100mph in 15.7 secs, then you could be looking at a late 14 to mid 15 sec 1/4 mile.
