Hey Cyrus this is a 1967 Ford Mustang GT Pro Rodz series rite ?? And definitely you must add the 2006 Ford Mustang GT to your collection agree:

The paint is perfect. The Camera makes it look bad. And it is not my car. And my friend does not want to part with it.

The roller is beautiful Cyrus, what scale is she ??

Hi & Hello to all the BHPians! Specially the ones who are crazy about Scale Model Vehicles. :)

Inspired by great collectors like Dippy, Cyrus43, Salil, Amit V8, Beemer, Beeman, Islero and the rest of all great guys, I am posting the pictures of my newest & the first acquisitions.

Starting with my favourites:-

1) AUTOart 1:18 Mitsubishi Pajero 1998 LWB RHD

2) Maisto 1:18 Mercedes-Benz CLS Class

3) Maisto 1:24 Volkwagen Beetle Old

Hope you all will like it.

I also have three 1:18 bikes from Maisto & some other toys from my childhood, plus something more.... will post them soon too...

Another type of scale models:- R/C aircraft

These are R/C aircraft that i have , actually my company makes these so technically they are mine till we sell them :I Rule: .

They have a wingspan starting 4 feet onwards. Engine cc's also vary depending upon aircraft design, wingspan and other factors. Currently i have more than 15 different designs and will post pics in detail whenever i have time or when im doing nothing.
enjoy

Hey Beeman,

Nice collection.

Me and few friends of mine are planning to setup a scale city - mostly of scale 1:18..as most auto diecast are available in that. Now, the issue is finding compatible aircraft scale and railroad scale models. It being a city scale model, we are planning to showcase railroad, port and airport setup. Now setting up an airforce setup is not an issue, as quite a few scale models are availale in 1:18 scale, but thats not the case with commercial aircrafts.

So let me cut all that, and get to point. Are there any suggestion that you can pass on to me Beeman for compatible scales. I guess the max scale thats been regularly noticed for commercial crafts is 1:200.. right??? Any suggestions would be of great help.please:

Thanks!

I havent bought anything major in the last three months or so. And to be very honest, there are a very few cars that really exite me as of now. I have this lingering and nagging voice in the back of my head begging me to venture into Aeronautical kits and Aeromodelling. I have a friend who goes to the turf club to fly his model airsrafts every sunday and every time i meet him he asks me when i am going to get one of my own? But, in a recent trip to gift centre, i noticed a F-14 Hornet kit lying smugly in a corner and now i really want that!!

Watch this space..I may just get lucky!! :D:D

Hi Akshladha, you could have issues if you try for 1:18 for commercial jets. For example, a small-medium airliner, like the A320, in 1:18 scale would be close to 5' 8" long, 2' 3" tall, & have a wingspan of 6' 3" ! Besides, any diorama with such a big model (hence highly detailed) will dominate any cars you might place underneath.

For airport dioramas, I would suggest relatively small period airliners like the DC-3 to showcase vintage 1:18 scale (post 1935), & smaller aircraft from Lear or Cessna for more contemporary 1:18 cars.

Besides, 1:18 isn't a common scale for kit aircraft - the common scales are 1:32, 1:48, 1:72, & 1:144. If you prefer die-cast, the common airliner scales are (as you'd mentioned) 1:200, 1:250, 1:350, & 1:400.

If you're planning an airport scene, replicating in scale a small private airport would be more suitable (as against a large commercial terminal) for the purposes of showcasing scaled cars. Even the DC-3 in 1:18 scale (if you can get it) will be quite large (L - 3' 6", H -11", W - 5' 3"), detailed, & expensive ! A better bet would be the single-engined aircraft from Cessna, Beech, or Mooney.

I can vouch for the fact that the BMW 328 roadster is one of the most beautiful looking models ever. When we had it at ModelArt, all of us were scared to touch it - it was so beautiful.

for the fiat guys....

So, I got one of my dream cars today. And, to be honest, i havent been happier in a long long time!! Better pictures to come soon. I hope these few are enough for a while though. Also, is this the first Dodge Daytona on the forum??
