Dear Patrons, friends & well-wishers,
We're late again. Sorry, but it has been quite hectic for both Clyde and myself over the last few months. And a computer hardware problem compounded our problems.
Here is the link to our latest issue of Autofest City News:
V9-I1 Jan 2010.pdf - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage
Happy reading & of course, motoring!
Best regards,

@amit V8:Thanks.Actually,only the 340tb in the upper left-hand corner is a Bburago. All the others are Hotwheels including the yellow 308 GTB Quattrovalvole, which is a joint product from Hotwheels and Kyosho. The 1:43 FXX in the middle of the lower half is from an Italian company called LookSmart(funny name, that).
@Cyrus43:Thanks man!And no,I'm not Vincent.
@RPMPKDMFF,AltoHoncho and agspins:Thanks guys!Almost all the models are in 1:18 scale except the 1:12 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish(from 'Die Another Day'),1:24 Rolls Royce Corniche IV,1:43 Rolls Royce 100EX,1:43 Rolls Royce Silver Seraph and 1:24 Lincoln X-100 Presidential Limo(JFK's parade car) in the first picture and the 1:43 Ferrari FXX in the second.I know they're not very clearly visible.Better pictures will come in a couple months.
As far as makes go,you'll find a bit of everything.Right from AutoArt,Maisto,a few Bburagos,Kyosho,UT Models,Franklin Mint,Hotwheels,Signature,Yatming,Jada Toys and many more. Most of them came from good-old Gift Centre.
Also, what you see in these pictures is little more than half the collection.I just got some Minichamps, too.
Nope. The UT's I cleaned out, and there is not a single Jada with him. Which Minichamps did you get?

well i am only talking about these new norev models which are horrible in fit, finish & quality & costs too much.
don't compare an AA with these NOREV models. there are a hell & heaven differences between them.:) |
i totally agree with you on that.
but i have a question and i contradict myself.
why do Mercedes models have jaw dropping prices?
Anyone know where I can get a TATA NANO scale model?
@Cyrus43:My UTs, I've had for quite a while. That includes 2 McLaren F1 LMs(both in Gulf livery). My Jadas(I've got just 3-4) are from Dubai. As for the Minichamps,I got the Bentley Continental GT and an Azure, both identical to the ones in your picture of the stock at Gift Centre, and also a Bentley State Limousine, the Queen's bespoke ride.I would have loved the new Mercs and the Morris Minor Cabriolet but the Bentleys,I got last month have dried up my funds:-(
The Minor is already gone. Got Sold out the First day I believe. The Mercs are good, but somehow even though I wanted the GL first, now I dont.
One of my latest acquisitions. A 1:48 Rolls Royce Phantom V manufactured by Dinky Toys/Meccano. This was the first Dinky to feature opening windows... it also features independent four wheel suspension with rubber tires and also a driver. This model was released in 1962, it is a pre-owned vehicle.
WOW!! A Proper Collectible.

Saw it last year at NK - Stockholm. It looks too gross and the price was
But if some arabs can buy the 1:1 version of this , then I am sure there will be takers for the 1: 18 as well.
That doesn't look like Swarowski crystals to me. It looks more like golf ball dimples. Where was it parked ?
