The price might be a deterent, I think the model is highly detailed to have that price (1:8 scale could be another factor). By the way what happened tp your 1:24 mobel kit by Italri. |
@ Manish,
I still haven't opened the box for making that model yet. Will start assembling it after my exam finishes on 3rd January 2011.
Which kind of glue should I use to hold the parts together ??
Will you be able to find that 1:62 Matchbox Willys Jeep of which I have posted the pics on previous page in Banglore if possible ???
That looks like a picture of the 'real' Harley Indian Launch bike! Have you got a model of this exact bike?

I am using Fast Bond (A cyanoacrylate Adhesive). It is really good, the glue does not hardens for few days even after opening (however shelf life is not that good over a longer period). But for 30 Bucks it is a good adhesive with the required bonding strength. Finish your model in one go and this adhesive will not disappoint you.

As for Willys Jeep I haven't seen any, I will look out for now.
@ Manish,
Thanks for the advice regarding the glue to be used.
Hope you will get that 1:62 Matchbox Willys Jeep in Banglore :).
If you see this scale model of Jeep anywhere in Banglore, please buy it as one of my friend got the same from a mall in Banglore only.
(PM'ed you regarding this.)
Nice pictures of the Nano. The detailing is really good from Norev. However I noticed that they have provided a rear view mirror on the LHS which is not present on the real car :D

Hello friends,
Neil. |
Nice Nano there, bye the way how can we have a look at your collection.
And as I still await for my stuff to arive from UK. Some small scale indulgence by way of Kingsmart and Maisto.

Last week found these models at a emporium in Ahmedabad, they are hand made somewhere in Rajasthan; costing around 2500 each
These are from Udaipur... I know where these are made... but they lack precision...
Yep i agree but still a commendable effort from those artists.

Solido does have some good details, it is quite good for the price. Don't expect Minichamps/AutoArt quality or the FineArt quality ;-).
The FineArt model is astounding and so is the price... but to be fair it is a highly detailed 1:8 model... I suppose it is on par with Amalgam.
The problem with solido is that they do a fantastic job with one product and a really pathetic job with another. Case in point, my Lancia Stratos!!!!
presenting the SLS AMG. More to come later.
