Re: The Scale Model Thread

@ PIMV The 458 has to be the most exclusive one on T-Bhp right now, is the BBR completely sealed? You are like the Gautam Singhania of 1:18 World!!

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Lovely 458!! but why is it sealed?? How hard can it be to just make the doors/boot open (especially at that staggering price tag)! And are you & Cyrus amongst the 50 lucky ones to own this beauty? It says "Limited 50 pcs"

How is the Hotwheels Elite 458 in comparison to the BBR?

Thanks again,fellas!

Thank you all for your encouragement.
@theragingbull:Cyrus is getting the HotWheels Elite 1:18 Ferrari 458 Italia if I'm not mistaken.As for the limited-to-50-pieces sticker,yes,my BBR rendition is one of only 50 of its kind but I've always found these 'limited edition' claims a bit gimmicky.Firstly,it's not like BBR's made only 50 1:18 458 Italias in all,it means they've made not more than 50 yellow 1:18 458 Italias with black wheels mounted on a special leather base,exactly like mine.Doesn't sound quite as exclusive anymore,does it?The most ridiculous,however are AutoArt's 'limited to 6000 pieces worldwide' proclamations.6000 in each colour the particular scale-model is available in!How's that 'limited' in any way?
@curiosity(Nice name,there.):It's priced at Rs15k at Automania.They have one more up for grabs.
@Maverick5490:Thank you for your compliments!
@RPMPKDMFF:Thanks.I know about your Blue Train.You mentioned it once.I believe you've got a 4 1/2 Litre Blower,as well.That one got away.I agree with you about the detailing.It is truly exquisite.
@Cyrus43:I guess I've got the arrival of Minichamps in India to thank for the sudden onslaught of Bentleys.I remember I had just one less than a year ago:the 1:18 Bentley Speed 8 LeMans Racer by AutoArt which,let's face it,is really just a rebadged Audi.Now,however,I've got six more.

It's been quite crazy,this last year.I've gotta power down for a while.So it's gonna be just one more huge haul for me before I take a bit of a break.It should be easy since I'll be away in college far away from temptation.Still,this big scale-model consignment comprising over 20 cars is headed my way.Stay tuned.

It is a sealed resin model. IMHO, all sealed models are a waste of money, but then that Is just the way I am...

Not only 458 he got the Maserati MC 12 and Mclaren F1 Road car,

@ Samstrikes where did you managed to get these two??? I have been on a look out for same.

Meanwhile My consignment from Hongkong came to my office today, here are the pictures (Mobile camera so no clarity, but I could not hold the Joy for long)

This Mini cooper kit is nicely detailed and the tyres have the size, manufacturer and the tread design nicely imprinted on them. Also I have got some screws and nuts in the kit.

The Diorama is also nicely detailed, now it's time to start building .
