That a nice one there, seems pretty old packing where did you got that? are 1:24 and 1:18 also available? I would be nice to have an MGA rather than MGB .

On the other note the Painting on my 70's Plymouth AAR Cuda is complete Now when the clear coat dries in another 1 or 2 days it's time for final assembly.

The pictures do not reveal the actual shine that has come (camera issue)

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Here is my Ferrari F430 Scuderia (Hot Wheels Elite)

I got this as a gift from a dear friend.

Doesn't the Fiat Punto wipers look the same?

Re: The Scale Model Thread

This isnt a Hot Wheels Elite. It is the standard hot wheels version. The Elite is far superior

Thanks Dippy. He got it from US more than 2.5 years back. All my models are from US. Relatively cheap and wide range to pick from. Here its almost double the price just like our road cars.

I somehow don't like the 458, even though everyone around seems to absolutely love it. Waiting to see one in flesh. I somehow don't like the air-dam with those plasticky/ rubbery deforming blades. My next Fezza will be the 599 GTO. I simply love it.

Like I said, it was a gift. All my other cars are from AUTOart except for my beloved Shelby Datatona Coupe and my 430 Scud matches up to them for detail and quality of parts. My only association with Hotwheels till then were the innumerous small toy cars with those plastic wheels. So I assumed it to be the Elite. My bad.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

About 50% of my collection basking in sun after a wash. Acquired between 2004 & 2006 except for the 1:43 Cadillac and Corvette. Recently got it shipped from my hometown. Few cars suffered some damages during this transit (broken ORVMs etc). I don't have a camera anymore so uploading through a friends mobile. Since yesterday i have added 5 new vehicles to my collection though I will upload more pics when i receive the remaining cars and get a new cam.

You're correct! Moreover, Fiat Linea also have the same wiper. These nice looking wipers are called Aero style (flat blade) wipers.

And yes, you've got a nice gift. Time to give your friend a treat for gifting you this scale model!

packaging/moving suggestions please

shubhamAT and others
I too have to pack my cars for shipping soon.
Could you please tell me how you packed them or if you have any suggestions?
I have very cleverly disposed all the original packaging and have about 50+ 1:18 models that I need to ship.
