I am in very tight space with my wife currently due to money I splurge on collecting. I am surely going to take a break in 2020. I would focus more on documenting the collection through photos.

Here are few photos clicked this year.

Hi, very nice photos! I have a question regarding scale model bikes- 1:12 and 1:18. Which one of these two scales is closest in proportion and suitable on display next to a scale 1:18 car?

Dude, 1:18 is 1:18. I am amazed you are even asking this

1:12 Bikes are complete mismatch to 1:18 Cars. 1:12 Bikes are larger in scale. 1:18 scale bike models are exact match for 1:18 scale cars.

Few archived shots of mine of 1:18 Cars and bikes for your reference.

Thanks! I am just a beginner in the world of scale models, so please pardon my ignorance! Got confused with various online sources.

Edit- also, as 1:18 represents 1 inch of the model for every 18 inches of the actual thing, I figured there would be an error as bikes are smaller than cars in real life.

With the 1:20 Tata Harrier. The manufacturer has got the scale wrong on either one of the two models or both. Either the Harrier is of a much smaller scale than 1:20 or the Altroz is bigger at 1:18 scale.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Received the first of the 2019 F1 models. This one is Charles Leclerc's SF90 by BBR (Scale is 1:18).

Somehow the mat red that Ferrari went with last year doesn't quite evoke the same emotions you typically get from a Ferrari.

Other 2019 models on the way include; (i) the Safety Car; (ii) Mercedes W10 from the Monaco GP (with the red halo as a tribute to Niki Lauda); (ii) W10 from the German GP (with their special commemorative white livery); and (iii) Lewis Hamilton's W10 from the US grand prix.

If anyone here has a relative or friend in Tata motors, an employee discount scheme is being run on scale models.
1:43 scale models of Xenon, Aria, Venture, Nano and Manza is offered at 125INR.
1:43 Zest at 399INR
1:23 Harrier at 3999INR and
1:18 Nano at 599INR
This offer runs until March 2020.
I have placed an order for all if the above through a friend of mine. It has been around a fortnight since ordering, there is no news of despatch from them.
@skanchan95, the leaflet mentions Harrier as 1:23, that might be the reason for scale mismatch.
