@diecast,

I was looking for a non M5 bangled 5 series. That is looking good. The wood finish and the door pads look realistic. Any specific reason to buy two cars of the same make?

How much did they cost and how did you get them?

Both are from Kyosho and mostly highly detailed 1:18 BMW are made by them .I am great fan of BMW i myself have 3 series .Coming soon is BMW M6 Bronze..

hmm.so you noticed it eh. it happened a while ago when i was shifting houses. couldn't do much about it. left it.

I have seen this page. In fact, one of my models was bought from a modelart store in Inorbit Mumbai. But they dont give any address of a shop in Kolkata.

Sumantra, are you sure? I havent been to CC2, but am a frequent visitor to the other 2. Dont remember seeing any model stores in either mall. Can you pinpoint the exact location?

I recollect one store in Forum which is actually a toy store, not a special diecast store. Keeps some diecast model for keeps sake, nothing special.

Dippy, i checked the site of model art mentioned by Ritayan.
it 2 stores and both are in Bangalore. :(
In Delhi as far as i know, models are available only in some toy shops of good malls in Noida and Gurgaon.
Theres no specific diecast model shop.
If you have any idea please let me know.

For your information, Shops around Khan Market have scale models in stock too. But their selection is quite poor.

Dippy: How you open the bonnet? I never faced such bonnet of 1:18 with so slim front gap;also its a bit tight.I used a plastic toothpick sharp end to open it
Yes the Blue will look damn gorgeous for sure.I saw it in some diecast forum.

diecast: Warm welcome from my side.I dont have any BMW diecast model yet,the reason behind is that,I have wanted to start with a M3 2008 in Red colour,but I couldnt find it.I dont have any of my original cars replica,incidentally.

Its pretty easy. I didnt need a toothpick. The toughest time I had opening a the front was of my 1:18 Ferrari 360 Challenge. Its a Bburago.

well that shop is the only one which stores autoart models in kolkata and i got my 1:18 chevelle at less than half the price from there only. keep your eyes open there are a lot of cool cars lying here and there.

use a pin or unscrew the car and add some oil to the hinge to make it free.

I really liked your collection specially the red Range Rover.
It is amazing. Also the 1:87 scale models of jetta and Audi.
They are very detailed(as seen in the pic). I thought i own the most detailed
1:43 Audi Q7, but never imagined so small model can be detailed too.

@Dippy, don't you have the door opener, I'm sure some of your models must have come with it... since you have a plethora of AutoArts & the like. Infact, I got one with the Chinese model of my Epica , another with my Pullman & Type 41 Royale. They really come in handy.

Kyosho is best for making detailed models.
I bought a convertible M3 from the BMW Showroom itself, Its from Kyosho

@ Amit - where is the Starmark store? Mani Square Mall?

@ Amit / Aniket(pred'r) - I have tried my best to search all stores to my knowledge in search of scale models. Found good ones at Pantaloons (all outlets), Shoppers' Stop (all outlets), Westside, Crossword, Forum wala Store. Few are good but beyond my budget. I wanted to get one of the R35 GTRs (white & Silver) - but there are too many of them on the form.

Wonderland toys - well i didn't come across a single piece when i went there (Gariahat & Park Street)
