But the resolution if that picture is something around 800x600 and one can save such a picture with very high quality and still the sizes won't go anywhere above 500-600 KB even with lots of details in the pic.

Thank you. Above everything, driving this 300whp car was totally insane.

@vipul
Looks like your white balance was a bit messed up. It looks a little too blue to me.

@TG - I have said this before, I'll say it again : Engaging reverse to get that back-lighting was a neat idea ! And the driver looks soooo much with the car.

The sliding shot above's another beauty. Where were these shot ? And which part of SFO are you in ?

@Condor
Thanks. These were shot at Treasure Island. I live at Fisherman's Wharf area in SF.

Actually I did this shoot for a friend. He wanted an advertisement styled shoot, which showcased the rally capability of the car. We decided on a black and white look. The tyres are left dirty on purpose, we felt it adds to the car's bad boy attitude.

The original main image was shot with the following settings.
Exposure 0.002 sec (1/500)
Aperture f/1.4
Focal Length 50 mm
ISO Speed 800
The Auto-Image thread-4845491189_0968b364de_b.jpg

The Image was composited with a sky image which I had taken a while ago at Nevada, and a mid ground plane image, which also was shot at Nevada.

Image for the sky:
Exposure 0.001 sec (1/1600)
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 70 mm
ISO Speed 400
The Auto-Image thread-4846117334_c868dbd413_b.jpg

Image for the Mid ground:
Camera Nikon D3S
Exposure 0.001 sec (1/2000)
Aperture f/4.0
Focal Length 70 mm
ISO Speed 400
The Auto-Image thread-4845500181_d15239ab30_b.jpg
Final composite after adding in the sky and mid ground, and after converting the whole image in to black and white. Also added a logo to the top right corner :

Thanks for checking it out and leaving your feed back. It means a lot for me!

Cheers,
Mukul.

@TG: Never thought it was compositing when I saw this in flickr! great job.

In the first picture, how did you get that effect? I see vignetting, but the overall mono-tone look. Interested to know that work-flow..

@Clevermax
The first image is straight off the camera. The Vignetting (Which I love) is from my lens. It is intense due to low light and spot metering combination. The color tones are due to the location, time and light.

TG.

@TG: Thanks for the clarification. I never thought it was the len's own vignetting.

One Lancer picture from me, this time no compositing.

I would have loved to clean the car before taking these snaps, but it was raining continuously and I did not want to let go this opportunity to click the car alongside the back waters.

Critique welcome.
