In fact if you see it more carefully, just do a slight pinching of front view of 1100 in photoshop and you get a Punto.

Re: The Auto-Image thread

I have been lurking around the several photography threads on Team BHP for quite a while now, and I am truly impressed by the quality of the pictures.

While I am a little bit intimidated by the high standards, here are a few shots of my Vette, taken a few months ago with my ancient Sony DSC-F828, and with no post-processing other than resizing.

Constructive criticisms and suggestion welcome!

Very nice output from the camera. Does it have an HDR / dynamic range optimization mode or something?
I think this camera is much better & versatile than those entry level DSLRs with only the 18-55 lens.

I liked the third picture, and the car of course!

Thanks for the comments. I just used IrfanView to reduce the size and that is probably what is causing the aliasing in the diagonal lines. If you can suggest another way to reduce the size that would improve the output for displaying here, I would be grateful.

I hope to be able to slowly optimize my photos for TBHP, given that I generally do not like to post process.

This Sony does not have any HDR optimization. I have used this one for many years and agree it is indeed a fairly good camera. I still prefer it for its handy size and performance combination compared to my Nikon DSLR or the little Canon P&S that I carry for quick shots.

Thanks for the comments. I love the car too! The sunrise shots were taken at Beartooth Pass while the snow shots are at Logan's Pass, both in Montana.

Re: The Auto-Image thread

This interior pic was taken, by fellow member Anvancy during the recent Pune Meet. He has taken a lot of photos of the car and shall upload them as and when i can.

I hope interiors of cars are also allowed in this segment.
