Karthikkumar, the first one is a good effort, but not the second. Shallow DOF is not optimal for auto images. Any image that has bokeh, has the main subject in sharp focus. Here the main object (car) is mostly OOF.

Hi Wheeler,

Quite a crisp shot! I like it.
However, the two areas for possible improvement in my opinion would be :
1. The overexposure in the sky
2. The lack of anything interesting in the background

Nice!! (Though i wish you hadnt cropped the frame so tight on the left of the car.)

I actually like the 2nd shot a lot! As Samu said, it might not be the ideal shot for "automobile photography" (eg. a car brochure or something) due to the shallow DOF - but as a photograph i like it a lot.

@torqueguru: Thanks!

@Samurai: I take your point about the second photograph. However, the idea behind the photograph was a combination of creative photogrpahy and auto photography and the DOF was deliberate. While it leaves no doubt about the identity of the car, it isn't exclusively an "auto" image. Perhaps then this thread isn't the right place to post it, but I felt it was. My apologies in that case.

@Rehaan: Thank you.

It is obvious that the shallow DOF is deliberate, not need for apologies, I was only making an observation. Now try this, the second shot, keep the frame intact, just increase the F-stop until you get the entire car in focus. You may need a tripod or push the ISO high if you don't have tripod. Just see how it comes out.

Ok I shall certainly try that one out. Have a tripod so that's not an issue. Thanks for the tip.

The pics is pretty good. But why did you apply softness to the rear of the bike?

Thanks,The pic was taken in apeature mode hence you could see the softness in the rear. we were not able to shoot the subject ( the bike ) properly diagniozed. we both are still learners, suggestions from you guyz will help a lot.

P.S Can anyone photoshop the same pic and make it still better than what it is now !! and repost it
