re: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is no more

It feels like a huge personal loss. Felt heartbroken reading this first thing waking up in the morning. There are Bharat Ratna's and then in those Bharat Ratna's there are Bharat Ratna's. It will be a long long time before we have another president like him. A sad sad day. RIP Dr. Kalam

re: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is no more

Great man with Great Soul...

One who lead by example, coming from humble background and retaining his humility even during highest office of the Country.

One who set example of how a President of Nation has to be.

In today's day and date the one man who showcased highest ethics in public life..

He also championed the cause of planting tree saplings in Tamil Nadu involving southern cine actor Vivek who was big fan and follower..

I can keep going on.. but a very sad loss of a great role model

RIP Sir.

What an amazing life... and,in many ways, what a perfect ending!
A true stand-out individual. Proud to have been his fellow country-man.

Had the privilege of meeting him in 2007 and it left a lasting impact on me. His words, his simplicity and the love for his country was phenomenal. We have a huge void to fill. There can never be another Dr Kalam!

A real loss. He made the DRDO perform!

His signature contribution : perfecting the art of single piece casting of the rocket propellant with no discontinuities. Any discontinuity will lead to an irregular burn, and even a casing failure.

Re: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is no more

One of the best autobiographies I have read was his book. Every page held some motivation, some food for thought.

Rest in Peace. You have singlehandedly changed the way the nation thinks today, probably.

Really a sad moment. A visionary and great leader, a role model to many. After a long time if there was 1 visionary the whole of India respects from their heart, I am sure it would be him. A person who show how to live a humble life, even after he became the President.

May his soul Rest in Peace.

So sad to hear the news of Dr. Abdul Kalam's demise. He was such a wonderful President, Scientist, and a people person. India is proud to have had such a precious gem. Hope and pray that we all follow his positive thoughts instilled in all of us, especially the youth. We will all miss him.
May his soul Rest in Peace!

The only person after Mahatma Gandhi to have made a significant impact on the Indians.

You sir, lived an ideal life.

His contribution to Indian satellite programme enabled us to rise to the current level we are in the International scene. His contribution to the missile programme does not need any explanation.

I remember reading somewhere , once he finished his tenure as president he cleared his office and walked out with 2 briefcases. Everything else he had received during his tenure he left in his office. How often do you come across people like this?

RIP Sir. India has lost a GEM literally.

Re: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is no more

Read somewhere that he wanted to be known more as a teacher than anything else. I was fortunate enough to attend one of his lectures during my institute days. Truly a gem of a teacher who considered whole country as his class room ! Rest in peace sir !!
