if this really happens in india then a whole load of super expensive cars could be rounded up n put in a nice museum for all to see! atleast let people drool over what were once 'the rides' of these corrupt politicians.........letting each one know who owned the car and how much it would cost to buy a new one!!!

May never happen in India.

Last week, the local news paper carried an article where the child labor abolition department received a fund or Rs.7 lakhs to use for helping people. Out of this Rs. 5 lakhs was spent for buying a Bolero for the department head.

I do hope Mr Abdul Kalam goes ahead with something similar. We all know who owns the White Conti GTs and RRs in India, not to mention the countless E's and S Classes.

Providing the top end with Rs 1.5 cr bullet proof E65s and E66 Bimmer 7s may be appropriate, but then again, the purpose should be served by a 15 lakh bullet proof Safari as well.

A lot, and I mean a LOT of money is sanctioned off for all the creature comforts for the devils of our nation. Very few deserve them, and absolutely nobody should demand them...

even if he proposes an act on those lines, the LS is sure to turn it down... what role does the pres in india have, he doesn't have the power to even make a rule even if he knows that's the best and the public opinion is for it..

Well it really should happen in India but who will bring in this legislation??? The same people make the rules here who will be stripped off their undue luxuries... I tell you these politicians should be made to travel in public buses and autorickshaws so that they can come to know of what the ordinary public faces day in and day out... Crappy dusty smelly potholed roads, kms long traffic jams, moronic call centre cabbies.... But alas as soon as a VIP comes, all roads are cleared for that buffoon maharaja....
