All good, but why Faisal Khan and Motorbeam? :)
Subpar content filled with obnoxious screeching and no substance.

I know my team-bhp brothers love reading posts and blogs, rather than watching vlogs, as it gives a special feeling, a sense of suspense, a chance to extend your imagination without limits.
But recently, I was checking out youtube and envisioned it as an ocean of ideas, similar to how an ocean has multiple fishes and organisms swimming around, but some are big, some are small, some are colourful and some are dangerous. I see a similar pattern in youtube, where inside the ocean of video storage, there is a purpose to every channel, even if it is based on the same topic, for example cars.
Over the two decades of the Youtube's explosion, I finally got time to sit and track all the automobile related channels that I love watching. Some are big, some are small, some are funny, some are informative and some might be really dazzling, but they all are needed for me to be the Petrol head that I am. To keep up with the ever growing automotive universe in India and the world, I feel you cannot ignore Youtube.
So I have divided, the channels into two parts, one is for India and the other is for everything outside India. Hope you also checkout this channels and get entertained and informed same as me.
INDIAN car automotive channels Cardekho - I like this channel, because they give automotive info in a little comic way.
https://www.youtube.com/@cardekho MotorOctane - I am not a fan of the way the hosting is done(overacting alert), but the car comparison videos are elaborate, so helps anyone who is going to buy a new car.
https://www.youtube.com/@motoroctane Powerdrift - I have seen this channel grow, have been following it since 2013. Camera quality, editing, selection of words, direction and background score is top notch.
https://www.youtube.com/@powerdriftofficial V3cars - The best channel for variant wise buying advice. I have not seen a better car variants explaining channel. They also do reviews and launches nowadays.
https://www.youtube.com/@V3cars-Official SansCARiSumit - This guy has come up with a lot of hard work and though the channel is in hindi, he is easy to connect with and share loads of info on all cars via walkarounds. This is the go to channel for car walkarounds. Specially base models.
https://www.youtube.com/@sansCARisumit zigwheels - This is also a good Indian car channel. Its mostly in English, but I feel it is the English version of the Cardekho channel. Car podcasts, updates, reviews, launches...etc.
https://www.youtube.com/@zigwheels
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Non-Indian automotive channels Fully charged show - thinking EV? one of the best channels for only EVs. It covers news, updates, reviews of all sorts of EV vehicles, even boats and planes. Good photography and background music.
https://www.youtube.com/@fullychargedshow Throttle house is a Canada based channel, where the two guys really come up with impressive ways to review a car. They are funny, witty and have amazing sense of humour + knowledge of cars.
https://www.youtube.com/@ThrottleHouse Hagerty - Amazing hosting, funny, witty and camera graphics/technology used is mind blowing. The best visual effects reviews/drag races I have seen any youtube channel.
https://www.youtube.com/@Hagerty Wheelsboy - All cars from china covered in this channel, mostly EVs, HEVs, PHEVs. Good reviews and updates. China is surely ahead of every one in the EV world.
https://www.youtube.com/@Wheelsboy theStraightPipes - Two guys review each car and compare to the other car in the same range. They do interesting stuff and a likable channel.
https://www.youtube.com/@TheStraightPipes carwow - Mat Watson is the host and can be really funny. He reviews the cars in a different way.
https://www.youtube.com/@carwow TopGear - Jeremy's absence is surely felt, but still one of the best Car related channels out there in youtube.
https://www.youtube.com/@TopGear Chrisfix - this is a very old channel, covering all tricks and best ways to repair/restore or fix your car. He works on his project cars and is a perfectionist. Very knowledgeable guy, but not sure why he hides his face.
https://www.youtube.com/@chrisfix TheFastlanecar - The Father son duo is good and they cover mostly pickup trucks. They have also covered EVs, done comparisons, off roading and much more. Very interesting.
https://www.youtube.com/@TFLcar Fifthgear - The only channel that ever gave some competition to Topgear. The hosts have been good, even the new ones and they are more car focused, unlike Topgear, which was more focused on entertainment. I like it, but lately has gone a little bland.
https://www.youtube.com/@fifthgearuk
I know you all must also have some amazing youtube channels to share. I would request you to checkout your subscriptions and list out the best of youtube automobile channels, so that we all can enjoy the same.
What a coincidence. I was thinking about creating a thread on this exact topic and here we have. Amazing!
For me, Autocar India takes the number 1 spot. They tend to get more technical and there is a high chance a normal user will not be able to connect with them, still the details, camera work, script and review quality is top notch.
PowerDrift in my opinion has the best esiting, camera work and production value among all, absolutely enjoy watching their videos. They generally keep their videos short, so it works well if you want to focus on key items.
Gagan Chaudhary is the reviewer who makes long videos (25-35mins), has a standard pattern, speaks hindi and has an ability to connect to normal buyer. While all the YouTubers are soft on cars and don’t highlight negative points a lot, Gagan doesn’t generally shy away on calling spade a spade. His review of X-trail was good. Similar to him, I like V3Car channel as well.
Faisal Khan (fasbeam, and now Faisal Khan YT channel) speaks too fast, acts "know-it-all" person and has a tendency to get on my nerves. I avoid him.
Acko Drive is relatively new, but I tend to enjoy their content. I'd recommend him.
Channels like 91Wheels, Zigwheels, Evo India, CarDekho, TopGear Mag India, OverDrive and MotorBeam are good in parts, can be seen, but I haven't found any differentiation factor.
A big call out to various pseudo car reviewers who just love to read out car features - MotorOctane, King Indian, Namaste Car, Power On Wheels, Car Quest etc. Watch videos from them, don’t expect a review.
Also key mention about female reviewers - Rajni Choudhary, Her Garage, Ride with Bhawna, Jagaran HiTech (has a female host, don’t know her name) - I wish they start adding some useful content.
There are few automobile youtube channels which I wish were in Hindi or English because of how much in depth some of these channels go beyond just reading out the brochure specs by walking around the cars. Some of them have exclusive content as well which are not available elsewhere. Honestly many of the "popular" Indian automobile youtube channels are nothing in front of these. Most of these people are BHPians as well.
Flywheel (Malayalam) by Hani Musthafa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvLKwFz0bJw Motowagon (Tamil)
I understand maybe only 80% of what they say since my mother tongue is not Tamil. But a brilliant channel which gives plenty of information even in first drive videos.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cA8mn9ZalM
Talking Cars (Malayalam)
The now abandoned channel had 'Science Corner' to First Drives to Car News,
this channel had everything. Some of the exclusives about GNCAP, Simple Energy, Kiger EV, Thar Roxx interior etc were notable ones. The hilarious anchor combo who created their own format of a 'video podcasts about cars' before podcasts were cool.
Both anchors now have their own separate auto channels focusing on different interests they have. One with vintage cars and the other with newer car reviews, but I have to say this, it's not fun as their OG channel.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUUgJh3y0N0 Then comes the best Indian automobile youtube channel in English language. MotorInc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldzYRokjmq8
I'm so glad this exists. Beautifully edited, calm videos. They have 'ThisConnect' series which discusses various topics and then 'First' series which are about First drives of cars and 2 wheelers. Both are done in a podcast like format with vehicle visuals beautifully sprinkled in-between.
The vibe among the hosts is almost similar to the vibes between the 'Talking Cars' hosts.
Mainstream channels are fine. I have a small affinity towards offbeat channels with car content -
1. Garbage Time -
https://youtube.com/@garbagetime420
Supremely funny and playful. All or what of questions answered. Fall in love with an Australian.
2. Corsicar -
https://youtube.com/@corsicar_
A very small channel but high quality content of automotive history. Must watch.
3. Garage 54 -
https://youtube.com/@garage54eng
The russian maniacs need no introduction. They take the Adam savage concept and dial it to 11. Cannot miss this one.
4. Samcarc -
https://youtube.com/@samcrac
The superbly broken down way the master technician explain flood damaged cars and their repairs is borderline genius. After wheeler dealers, Sam is someone who definitely embodies an american Ed China.
How has no one mentioned this guy
Cars With Luke
One of finest and most cinematic channels for high end super cars. Luke's videos are based predominantly in the Swiss Alps creating content with a whole host of cool cars. His story telling and the brilliant cinematography is what makes him standout from the rest. Def one of the best channels out there when it comes to cars.
Here is some of his work
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P4AF8eP-Yg
YouTubers I Follow:
1. MotorInc - An English automotive channel with two presenters who have a great sense of humor. Their content is crisp and clear, and the "male seductive voice" adds a funny touch. Strong, engaging content overall.
2. Evo India - I particularly enjoy their podcast.
3. Sunderdeep Singh - A hardworking and down-to-earth individual, he’s a die-hard fan of the VAG group. Along with his friend Munish, he shares extensive technical information about VAG cars. Both own multiple VAG vehicles with odometer readings in lakhs.
4. Brotomotive Vlogs - A service center owner who shares his experiences and work ethics.
5. A2Z Car Service - A service center professional promoted due to his exceptional work, now creating insightful videos as well.

Motowagon's video on Be6e/9e engineering is one of the best explainer videos i have ever seen in any language(in auto world). It's a must watch for anyone who's interested in product design, tradeoffs associated etc. It's only in tamil though.
