Congratulations. Lovely bird. The F/A-18E is a truly remarkable multi-role platform. Your diecast model looks very neat.

A Messerschmitt Bf 109E from Corgi scale 1:72. about 5 inches in length. This particular one was flown by Hans-Joachim Marseille a German fighter ace with 158 victories to his credit. He was killed in 1942 at the young age of 22.

Both very nice additions, reminds me of my childhood when I used to assemble fighter planes from plastic model kits. Really liked that swiveling base on the Bf-109.

A very merry Christmas for me
All plastic in 1:200 Scale.

Delta Airlines 747-400

Jet Airways A340-300
I was surprised when I saw this model in Jet Airways livery. Apparently the airline leased 3 A340s from South African Airways between 2005-07 for international routes.

Malaysian Airlines 777-200. This is same as MH370 that disappeared but a different call sign.

Thank you for sharing. The Dassault Mirage III looks groovy. In 1967 when Israel launched the 6-day war the Mirage, flown by the Israelis, shone and from there was born the new phrase pre-emptive strike. The same aircraft flown by another country refused to engage the Mig-21s of the IAF even though we tried to rumble them several times in December 1971. the PAF remains the sole user of the III today.

You have to give credit to the Israelis for the way they used their Mirage and its derivatives(IIICJ, Nesher & Kfir) inspite of the French embargo after the 1967 Six Day War. The development of the Kfir & Nesher is no less than a spy story in itself.

Israelis pilots found the handling of the Mirage IIICJ to be better than the Nesher & Kfir (mostly because of the extra weight of the additional internal fuel that the Kfir & Nesher carried). Most of Israel's fighter aces began their career flying Mirage IIICJs.

Wasn't one PAF Mirage III severely damaged by a Hunter in the 71 war? There were claims that it crashed in Pakistani territory after that engagement.
Pakistan has become the second Hand Mirage capital of the world. They have an exotic fleet of ex-Australian, French, Libyan,French, Spanish(spares) and Lebanese Mirage III/V variants. The only variants they probably retired are the original IIIEP & VPA/PA2 variants, rest are still flying !!!

Any links to that incident?

As far as I recall there were few Mirage IIIs in service (10 or less if I remember correctly) with the PAF during the 1971 war. They saw limited combat as they were newly inducted and not many pilots were trained on them.

Although the Israeli Air Force no doubt performed exceedingly well in the Middle East wars, I think they tend to hide their losses any only highlight their wins and portray themselves as near invincible. If you read about the wars from other Arab websites or Russian sources , the Israelis have lost a lot more aircraft in air combat than they admit.

Yes VT-ALJ(B777-300) got the Star Alliance livery along with VT-ESF(A320-231 - IAE V2500 powered and with double bogey main landing gear) and VT-ANU(B787-8) from the Air India fleet.

Got this cheapish ATR-72-500 1:150 plastic scale model from Amazon.in for Rs 899. The Brand is a lesser known company called OHS Models. It isn't as detailed or as sharp as Hogan, JC Wings or Inflight models, but for the price, it is ok. Sizewise, it is as a long as a 1:200 Boeing 737-800.

Looks nice. It captures the graceful lines of this soon to be a classic aircraft. Production/orders are now in the ~1500 range.

Probably the best in my collection, Pan Am was the first airline I flew in although I was too young to remember.

Freak out. This is so beautiful and we'll crafted right down to those first generation Pratt & Whitney big turbofans. I guess the model is a whopping 14 to 15 inches in length and weighs a tonne. Congratulations Foxtrot. I also like the wooden dining table!
