Yes, I agree. It was a very elegant looking livery.

The model was made in 2006 and is quite rare. I was actually looking for 737-200 freighter in Blue Dart livery from the same manufacturer, but found this 757 instead.

It was made for Blue Dart specifically and was meant as a gift for its employees. I had seen a battered 757 model in the local Blue Dart office with its engines fitted on backwards!! Lookwise, it is not as sharp or as detailed as Hogan. No moveable engine fan blades either. But as it is in 1:150 scale, lengthwise it is quite long.

The British Aerospace Sea Harrier was a naval short take-off and vertical landing/vertical take-off and landing jet fighter, reconnaissance and attack aircraft It first entered service with the Royal Navy in April 1980 as the Sea Harrier FRS1 and became informally known as the "Shar".

Royal Navy Sea Harriers (Nos. 800 & 801 squadrons) took part in the Falklands War of 1982, flying from the aircraft carriers HMS Invincible and HMS Hermes. The Sea Harriers performed the primary air defence role with a secondary role of ground attack; the RAF Harrier GR3 provided the main ground attack force. A total of 28 Sea Harriers and 14 Harrier GR3s were deployed in the theatre. The Sea Harrier squadrons shot down 20 Argentine aircraft in air-to-air combat with no air-to-air losses, although two Sea Harriers were lost to ground fire and four to accidents. Out of the total Argentine air losses, 28% were shot down by Harriers.

In 1983, the Indian Navy became the only operator other than Britain The aircraft was withdrawn from service early by the Royal Navy in 2006. The Sea Harrier remained in service for a further decade with the Indian Navy until its retirement in 2016.

Nice addition to your collection. I think my airliner collection is complete, have to restart collecting military aircraft after 15+ years

Although this 20-0 record looks good, it really doesn't paint the complete picture. The Argentine aircraft were at the limit of their range and were trying to quickly attack the British ships and escape. Their mission was not to fight with the Harriers(many only had cannons for self-defence) nor did they have the fuel for it. The argentine aircraft (Mirage IIIs and Sea Hawks) were of pretty old vintage and were attacking British ships using unguided bombs. Despite these drawbacks they were able to sink multiple modern British Ships which were equipped with guided anti-aircraft missiles. I would point to the lack in range and speed of the Sea Harrier in catching these antique Argentine aircraft as a major failure.

Anyone know where I can get a spare right wing? Tried emailing the manufacturer but got no response yet.
How much did u pay for it. I can try fetching another model for you at a low price. You will basically need a donor 737NG.
Let me know if interested. You can PM me anytime.

Thanks but Singapore Airlines mailed me a complete replacement, see my post above.
I bought it aboard the Silk Air flight and I think its cost $25 Singapore Dollars.

I only need a right wing for the defective model, if you know where I can get one let me know, no point buying a complete model for just a wing.

Very interesting to note you have just one post in 12 years !

Very neat detailing. Love the underside of the airframe with the swiveling nozzles, landing gear and armament. The Pegasus was a marvel. The thrust from the big fan in front had to be equal to the thrust from the main exhaust at the back across all (or most) throttle inputs. It was a little lower at full thrust which is why we see photos of vertical take-offs with the nose down a little. And weight wise the engine had to be dead centre of not only the centre of gravity but the aerodynamic centre too. You have to give it to the British for innovation and lateral thinking on this one.

The brains trust behind this was Sir Sydney Camm, an all time great aircraft designer. Aviation aficionados would recognize these names that came from his drawing board -Hawker Hurricane & Hawker Fury of WW2, Hawker Hunter, Hawker Seahawk and the Harrier. The unique Pegasus was the brain child of Sir Stanley Cooper who also designed the Derwent (powered the Gloster Meteor, the first British jet fighter), the Olympus (Concorde); the Nene which was the most widely used jet of the first generation with over 30,000 built including unlicensed Russian copies and the Orpheus which powered our Gnat fighter amongst others.

An interesting aside. In the early 1980s along with Sea Harriers from the UK we were also purchasing the 5000 tonne Kashin class destroyers from the USSR. Both interestingly were priced at Rs 60 crores (~US$60million in those days) a piece. When the Russians found out they were livid 'cos they were selling to us below cost out of friendship. They promptly upped the price to Rs 600 crores per destroyer forcing us to cancel the last of the 6 which were on order! The Harriers have gone; the Kashins serve on.

I really don't know about the 1:200 scale ones, as I have the 1:150 ones( Risesoon brand).

The 1:150 ones have good detailing in terms of fuselage shape, paint and clarity of the text. They don't have VT- registration on them and they are not as detailed as Hogan 1:200 models.

A friend who had 1:200 Air Asia A320 model called it, and I quote - "Rotten". Better stick to Hogan for your 1:200 model needs or go for the 1:150 model if you want an Air Asia model in your collection.

I am expecting a Hogan 1:200 A320 soon. Will compare it to the 1:150 Risesoon Air Asia A320 model and post a review soon.

All beautiful additions to your fine fleet. The PIA Livery looks quite smart I must admit even as the nationalist in me is gnashing his teeth. Great pieces each of them. Phew! I am green with envy.

Thank you!

Frankly, a month ago I wouldn't even have thought of getting a Paki airliner in my collection. This one ended up by chance in my hands.

The retailer whom I got it from had ordered the PIA A320 for one of his other customers. The customer backed out, and he asked me if I wanted it. I thought why not, PIA used to operate an A320 to Mumbai from Karachi. Baring the livery and leaving patriotic feelings aside, the Hogan A320 model did look good. So I went for it.

I am told that this very Hogan A320 model (in Indigo livery & with IAE engines i/o CFM ones on the PIA model) was sold onboard Indigo flights for quite some time (along with Indigo A320 models from Lupa & Premier planes brands). In the third pic you can see a part of the trademark hogan logo on the underside.

I would kill to get my hands on an Indigo 1/200 A320!!!

I believe the one that Foxbat has is the Lupa models one(with sharklets).

That's a very big model. Always had a soft spot for the DC-9/MD-80 family.

I collect only in 1/200 Scale for airliners (except 2 desktop models which are 1/100) so size depends on the actual model of the aircraft. I was recently surprised to learn that the Boeing 717 is also a derivative of the DC-9.

Came very close to acquiring two Air Asia A320s on a flight from Goa, but bad weather struck before it could be handed over to me and all onboard sales had to stop
