Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Terrible news about the passing away of Mr. Behram Dhabar (BD Sir), the man who designed the Mahindra Thar and made it a reality.

You were a big reason for me to take the plunge, selling my Scorpio and buying a Thar. Your numerious re-assurances that the Thar could run as a daily drive. And Sir you were and are spot on !!

I never had the pleasure of meeting him but exchanged numerous text messages, emails and phone calls; for every little query or niggle i faced with my Jeep. And he would always oblige ending each conversation in his typical Bawa humor " kya boss .."

A real legend has passed. RIP Sir !

This is very sad news.
RIP Mr Dhabhar.
A fine gentleman of the "old school".

Gone no doubt, to Automotive Heaven.
God Bless.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

My Thar "fourknotfour" is an orphan now.
I am still in disbelief to hear that he is no more. At first i thought it was a death hoax. But slowly it sank in. I never had the good fortune of meeting him but a couple of times we did communicate here regarding his creation the legendary Thar.
Prayers to the family and may his soul rest in peace. May he find in heaven the right bunch of people to live forward his legacy.
Heartfelt condolences.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Amit Rao shares his condolences:

Quote:
I wish to offer my condolences towards the sudden and unfortunate demise of our "Distinguished BHPian" Mr. Behram Dhabar. I never had the fortune to either write or speak to him; however I used to follow his replies very religiously in his umpteen informative posts. His posts encouraged me to keep my vehicles in stock condition and kept me away from the unnecessary mods that he was so rightly against. Since I can't post my views on the thread so thoughtfully dedicated to him, I thought of mailing my condolences via this mail. I would appreciate if you can post my message. It's just a small way of me paying my last respects to our passionate Bawaji.

Regards,
Amit

Ah man, I just logged in and saw this message. :( I was really looking to interact with him more. He helped me avoid a money pit purchase, and I am grateful to him for his advice.

Behram ji, You live in our hearts forever !

R.I.P.

Have been following all his threads for a long while. His concern about doing things the right way the first time round was so apparent in all his posts.

A major loss on this forum.
