Diabetic folks can donate blood if our sugar levels are in control, along with BP. Thats what my doctor said.

Oh is that so, in that case I will consult my Doctor and upon his consent will get back on the active donor list at my local blood bank.

Day before yesterday I got a SMS from Indian Blood Donors stating requirement for AB+ve blood group and to contact a number if interested. I contacted them and went and gave my 1 unit at the blood bank. Saw quite a few stickers of the website in the Blood Bank.

I would request fellow TBHPians to register to this website as you never know when you can save someone

My mum had an emergency operation couple o months back -- needed 12 units of blood.

Man, even with so many relatives/friends, I realized how tough it is to get that much at a short notice.

I'm AB+ve. Anyone needs, PM me.
