Beautiful pics of the gurudwara Manson. I remember going there as a kid and feeding 'prasad' to the fish standing on the walkaway of the temple. Its a very pristine place.

Btw, forgot to mention the stop we had at Haveli, a restaurant with strong punjabi ambience, a well; yep real one, real real good folk music, a trucky body to the interiors, which i cannot find the snaps of :(

nice pics manson. You really seem to have enjoyed ur trip to Punjab.

Talking about,'banta' soda,it was my favourite drink as a kid and also when i would vist home from college[Ludhiana] after every 3weeks.In summers when heat is just intolerable,i would drink it at Jallandhar bus stand but with a lemon and salt as dceite has mentioned.

Trust me no other drinks tastes better than this drink with lemon+salt.Sadly havn't tasted it in the last decade.
but yes,it not made in very hygeinic conditions.

About haveli,i simply have no words how to praise it.
food is very much traditional what usually made in Punjabi homes and tastes even better than home made. But more than food i really like the concept of haveli. They have displayed almost everyhting realted with art & culture of punjab.Infcat waiters also wear traditional orange coloured punjabi dress.
And they have charpais if u want to lie down for a moment.

Nice reply Doc. Good pic Bigman. That Haveli is just outside Jalandhar.
I used to go there very regularly from Ludhiana just cuz my friend's resort opposite to it had a silver R1 parked. hehe.
Nice jeep pics. Quite a regular site in Punjab.
