We just had a discussion on page 1 or 2 about it. It is supposedly shut shop.

I am yet to try Dorabjee. Karl is a regular and swears by their food.

We had fun at a team-bhp meet in The Grand Hotel. Some Paneer snack was brilliant too.

Some of the BEST thai food I've eaten in india was at a small restaurant at Boat club road, called Thai House.

Managed by Joe (he's thai) and his wife(thai too), it is a small eatery that they run. It is not uncommon to see Joe take the order and his wife run to the kitchen to execute the order. The place is beautiful and quaint and perfect to take a girlfriend, family or even a group of friends.
They often serve very authentic juices, imported from Thailand quite often.I do not think they serve any alcohol.

Joe himself goes prawn shopping every day and the quality and size of the prawns are amazing. I suggest Thai House, it's next to just baked and don't forget to say SawadeeKhap to them.

I went to this new italian place right next to sohos. I believe its owned my the same person, but different management. There was some really interesting stuff on the menu. Food was good. But be warned, do now order wine there, they charge Rs. 1000/- for wine which retails at Rs. 350/-

Havent tried curve yet, I try to get out of KP for a meal since I stay there.

I swear by the JJ garden wada pav wallah, that guy comes to his thela in a lancer!!! Never liked joshi's.
BUT the best wada pav i've had is at the Grant Road station in Bombay.. simply delicious!

cheers!

I recommend The Klove, on 4th floor, above Ozone in Aundh, for Pure veg Rajasthani food. Best part about this place is nobody seem to be know about it and its not crowded at all.

The Bananas is another place in Aundh for Pizza/Pasta/Lasagna/Baskin Robins Ice cream.. Again, not crowded at all.

PS: My criteria for restaurants is that it shouldnt be crowded

I knew the Klove in Ozone but avoided it since it is pure veg!

There might be many places which are left out of this list. Some of the eating places in pune are grossly over-rated (where you go nicely dressed up,perfumed, with your wife, kids, parents,grandparents,in-laws and all that and discuss the dine-out next day in your office). So, these are the places in the list where you can tickle your test buds. JUST THAT . Happy eating :-)
