Kill Bill was a masterpiece!
Blood flowed like Rooafza at a summer political rally! I loved it!

The fact that people love "BLOODY" movies is a little disturbing.
:(

Now, I'm not surprised by the violence seen on TV....the real violence, gruesome murders, killing sprees, guns in school and what not. Tarantino fans cannot complain. After all, they love blood.

I'm still trying to think why I like Tarantino so much. I cant really put it in words. I actually feel uncomfortable watching all the blood and violence, but the casual nature of the violence depicted is also quite funny in a morbid sort of way.
I saw Kill bill again yesterday and I thought it was brilliant. Why? I dont know.

I also saw
Boksuneun naui geot (2002)
last week. Liked it. Like most korean movies I've seen, the violence is extreme,so Torqy- this one is not for you

hydrashok: Please give me the names of some bluegrass musicians so I can track down their music. I love the style, the lilt.

Didn't realise it was sad and despondent music but that's probably because I haven't heard enough.

For regular jazz if a tad haunting it's Eva Cassidy- she sang in jazz bars around D.C. and the Fleetwood Mac chap would occasionally accompany her on drums. She died very young; her music was really discovered posthumously.

Neither blues nor jazz, this one's folk: Jim Croce? Ever tried him?

OT: yeah, sorry chaps. To swing it back into tinsel town was Kris Kristofferson- brilliant, evocative singer: Bobby Mcgee etc. who blundered into some very vacuous movies like Rubber Duck?? (I might have the name wrong)

The song of Sparrows. (Persian)
Avaze gonjeshk-ha (2008)

Awesome, very well made simple movie.
Caught it on UTv World Movies last week.

The story is about an Ostrich farmer who is fired from his job. An Ostrich escapes while he was in charge of the gate. Also he has 3 kids. The eldest happens to break her hearing aid. Her exams are fast approaching and the government doctor informs him that it shall take at least 4 months for a new piece.

Circumstances make him a bike-taxi rider.
He faces temptation, cheating and a lot of other situations.

Finally ends up with a broken leg.
Some scenes stand out for the remarkable direction.

Imagine Billu Barber without the glamour.

When he see his son's palm with callouses, your mouth goes dry.

Excellent movie.
